Joanne Dolan DesignThis unique project involved furnishing a 700 square foot terrace in the east end of the city (and getting our hands dirty with lots of plants!). Taking advantage of this private oasis in the city was our client’s number one goal. Using high quality outdoor furnishings meant to stand the test of time (and Canadian winters!) we created separate dining and living areas to maximize entertaining space and added a significant amount of storage. A neutral palette of grey and blue lets the surrounding greenery and city views take centre stage. Planters in a variety of shapes and sizes will allow the client to experiment with different plants and flowers each year, moving them around the terrace as the light changes from Spring to Fall.

Hemos instalado una pérgola retráctil de textil tensado para regular el sol, barbacoa, iluminación suave para las noches de verano y una cocina de exterior donde poder preparar cualquier ensalada fresquita, un poquito de verde que nos ayuda a naturalizar el espacio. Hemos dejado espacio para que los pequeños de la casa puedan jugar, y así como que la cosa no quiere, la mesa ya está lista para juntarse a disfrutar, ¿Te apuntas?
Gardens & ProjectsA large format Patio South/East facing with a contemporary style and Italian stone; the Patio will be accessible from the back house’s doors and will provide a lightly aired vibrant view East facing and South over the hills and the village.
Japanese Brushwood Sleepers will be used to terrace the garden at a lightly graded slope from the edge of the house Patio leading down to connect the lower area.
The planting scheme consists of a mix of multi-stemmed small trees and flagrant flowering shrubs, climbing roses, and bold herbaceous; evergreen shrubs to give structure and finishing touches around the perimeter of the garden.
Farrow & BallThis modern outdoor space, with its pop of vibrant Rangwali, is the perfect antidote to grey skies. But you don’t need a balcony to capture the spirit of this scheme in your own home – the inside of an arbour, the side of a shed, and even garden furniture and plant pots can be brought up to date with bold hues.
Extension ArchitectureThis view shows the new balcony and roof terrace for which the entrance, although compact, shows ingenious engineering. For example the stairwell has a mezzanine bathroom. These houses are in the traditional cottage style and are not large. We managed to create a home for which the developer can command professional rent.

MYDECK GmbHGemütliche Sitzecke welche direkt an den Wohn-Essbereich des Penthouses angrenzt. Durch die großen Schiebefester können im Sommer die Grenzen zwischen innen und außen verschwinden und die Terrasse wird zum Wohnzimmer. Aber auch im Winter ist die Terrasse bei diesem Penthouse immer Teil des Raumes, da der Blick ungestört nach draußen kommt.
Bei jedem Wetter schön sind die Premium WPC Dielen von MYDECK, die keine aufwendige Pflege brauchen. Das enthaltene Holz aus nachhaltiger Forstwirtschaft wird von recycelbarem Polyethylen ummantelt und so vor Witterungseinflüssen geschützt. Das lineare Design der splitterfreien Premium WPC Dielen fügt sich bildschön in das moderne Ambiente der Terrasse ein.
Die die Terrasse umgebenden Hochbeete sind in unterschiedlichen Hohen und Tiefen umgesetzt. Die zum Teil immergrünen Pflanzen dienen auch als Sichtschutz auf der Terrasse. Es finden sich aber auch zahlreiche saisonale Pflanzen auf der Terrasse wie Lavendel, verschiedene Blumen und Bäume wie die Zwergbirne, welche jahreszeitliche Akzente setzen.

Fables de MursDans ce studio tout en longueur la partie sanitaire et la cuisine ont été restructurées, optimisées pour créer un espace plus fonctionnel et pour agrandir la pièce de vie.
Pour simplifier l’espace et créer un élément architectural distinctif, la cuisine et les sanitaires ont été regroupés dans un écrin de bois sculpté.
Les différents pans de bois de cet écrin ne laissent pas apparaître les fonctions qu’ils dissimulent.
Pensé comme un tableau, le coin cuisine s’ouvre sur la pièce de vie, alors que la partie sanitaire plus en retrait accueille une douche, un plan vasque, les toilettes, un grand dressing et une machine à laver.
La pièce de vie est pensée comme un salon modulable, en salle à manger, ou en chambre.
Ce salon placé près de l’unique baie vitrée se prolonge visuellement sur le balcon.
