Photo Credit: Lincoln Barbour Photo. Interior Design: Kim Hagstette, Maven Interiors. This media room was designed with all the bells and whistles (hidden). The dark walls, ceiling and motorized blackout draperies help set the tone. The television wall was custom designed to conceal all the speakers, subwoofer and AV equipment behind twisted felt panels. All the high definition sound comes through without any distraction from visual clutter. The wall was custom design by Maven Interiors and the custom felt textile is by Moufelt.

The entry features a 5-inch thick antique door made of redwood. The entry opens to the living room with views of the hillside beyond. Also, a built-in desk nook is fitted under the stairs. The cove ceiling is painted a light sea-foam color while the media cabinets and wall are painted black to obscure the television.

For the TV room on the main floor, we went more masculine for the men in the family's comfort. Blending traditional 'Hunt Country' motifs of English furniture, fox hunting and equestrian accents with black lacquered walls, this space ended up both bold and cozy at the same time.
