This living space was open to a 22' ceiling, We added a floor doubling the living space of this area! Upstairs is now a large home gym and reading loft. The fireplace and mantle were repurposed, we updated with new stacked stone (travertine). Flooring was replaced with this lovely wide plank, light engineered wood choice.

For this whole home remodel and addition project, we removed the existing roof and knee walls to construct new 1297 s/f second story addition. We increased the main level floor space with a 4’ addition (100s/f to the rear) to allow for a larger kitchen and wider guest room. We also reconfigured the main level, creating a powder bath and converting the existing primary bedroom into a family room, reconfigured a guest room and added new guest bathroom, completed the kitchen remodel, and reconfigured the basement into a media room.

The living room now opens onto the kitchen and the dining room. This was achieved by removing a series of walls. A large wood clad structure was engineered to provide some separation, house the air conditioning ducts and most of all create a large serving/eating counter. Minimal furnishings flank the client’s antique rug.

Take the elevator or the stairs to the top floor and be dazzled by a loft space open to the downstairs.

Chic, streamlined, luxury textures and materials, bright, welcoming....we could go on and on about this amazing home! We overhauled this interior into a contemporary dream! Chrome Delta fixtures, custom cabinetry, beautiful field tiles by Eleganza throughout the open areas, and custom-built glass stair rail by Ironwood all come together to transform this home.

The home was built as a "kit" using stained douglas fir as exposed beams and chases for the electrical work. We played on that theme by building a built-in L shaped lit cabinet to house the homeowner's collection of Russel Wright dinnerware and pottery. Photo by Meredith Heuer

The formal living room retained custom built-in cabinets. The floors were stained to seamlessly flow with the light maple bookcases. In addition to the grand piano, we selected a contemporary sofa and two leather armchairs with exposed wood arms. The iron glass table belonged to our clients.

We turned this 1950's kitchen into a marvelous modern styled kitchen. This beautiful kitchen has 10 LED recessed lights, a beautiful industrial farmhouse pendant above the island, new vinyl flooring, a black quartz countertop, and a white porcelain sink. We installed brand new white shaker cabinets with black hardware accents, white subway tiles that cover the entire wall, and wood floating shelves. The brand new appliances are precisely built-in the cabinets of the kitchen.
We also updated the connecting living room with new recessed lights, vinyl flooring, new paint, wall removal, and updated the fireplace. Together both spaces connect with plenty of open space to walk into the kitchen and dining room.
