Our Clients returned to Ream after their bathroom was designed and installed 4 years ago. It was time to update their old and dated kitchen, the last project in their home, as they planned to take down a wall between the kitchen and conservatory. Our clients had their hearts set on a new kitchen with more light, in a contemporary style with modern appliances and kitchen gadgets. Knowing they wanted good quality kitchen product they visited Ream’s award-winning Gillingham showroom and were inspired by the vast kitchen displays. Lara, Ream’s Kitchen Designer created a spacious, yet welcoming kitchen design with a two tone shaker kitchen in charcoal and light grey. Where previously the hob was in the corner of the kitchen, Lara designed the hob to take centre stage in the kitchen, Mrs Madan, says that “now I can participate in kitchen life rather then have my back to everyone.” ‘When I met Lara, I instantly felt at ease,’ says Mrs Madan. ‘Left to my own devices, I would have put cupboards on every wall so desperate was I for more storage, but Lara quickly explained that wouldn’t be necessary. She had a vision for the room, understanding how to make the best use of the space, and offering us the potential to create a room for family living and socialising, rather than just a kitchen for cooking and washing up.’ With the top kitchen appliances from a Quooker Flex tap which is a boiling tap, hot, cold and filtered tap with a flexible hose; the awardwinning AEG Comfort Lift dishwasher, AEG Combo hob, (hob with extractor inbuilt), slim wine cooler, Space Tower clever storage, pull out larders The island was meticulous, planned out and scaled by both our clients and Lara to ensure maximum space to create an elegant and timeless kitchen. For the installation, our flooring was protected and the installation team were tidy and friendly. “Ream were quick to deal with problems and have a solutions to any issues, questions or problems which we had,” says Mrs Madan, I have recommended Ream for home projects with my friends and family.

A sizable extension was added to the back of this familly home creating a large kitchen, dining zone for the family to enjoy and grow with. Heavily textured slab style units in a black-gold-slate effect finish were selected taking full advantage of the natural light available from the wall to wall glass at the end of the extension. A brilliant white quartz worktop with a subtle vein contrast beautifully with the kitchen units. A full compliment of integrated appliances, ovens and venting induction hob with plenty of storage including a cocktail unit with pocket doors, perfect for entertaining.

I was asked to update and design a new kitchen for my New Jersey client who has a home in Boca Raton. The project involved expanding the existing ranch and design a contemporary white kitchen. Below are the results of incorporating not only fine Italian cabinetry from a local Boca showroom but also a juxtaposition of textures and colors. Selecting the CeasarStone blue agate made the difference of a spectacular kitchen creating an artistic approach for the 14 ft island. The blue agate is imbedded within the white quarts counter. The wall cabinetry is a plethora of storage and so interesting with it's Post & Lintel dark wood frame design that plays with contrasts/ Shapes and textures abound with each interesting aspect like the irregular shaped back splash indispersed with mother of pearl mosaics. the client wanted a one of a kind chandelier and we designed it for her incorporating good functional and LED ambient lighting.

The conversion of this kitchen diner and utility in to an open single room is just breathtaking and so surprising being a period, rural property. The introduction of this Scandi style kitchen has been carried out so sympathetically. Balancing the contemporary handleless styligh with brilliant white doors and surfaces oak trims and features softens what could otherwise be a very stark space. This attention to detail does not stop here with all internals behind the white units carrying the oak through to the internal units. The use of this classic green paint nods to the period of the property without jarring against the contemporary styling, transitioning between old and new beautifully.

A light, bright open plan kitchen with ample space to dine, cook and store everything that needs to be tucked away. As always, our bespoke kitchens are designed and built to suit lifestyle and family needs and this one is no exception. Plenty of island seating and really importantly, lots of room to move around it. Large cabinets and deep drawers for convenient storage plus accessible shelving for cook books and a wine fridge perfectly positioned for the cook! Look closely and you’ll see that the larder is shallow in depth. This was deliberately (and cleverly!) designed to accommodate a large beam behind the back of the cabinet, yet still allows this run of cabinets to look balanced. We’re loving the distinctive brass handles by Armac Martin against the Hardwicke White paint colour on the cabinetry - along with the Hand Silvered Antiqued mirror splashback there’s plenty of up-to-the-minute design details which ensure this classic shaker is contemporary yes classic in equal measure.

This French country-inspired kitchen shows off a mixture of natural materials like marble and alder wood. The cabinetry from Grabill Cabinets was thoughtfully designed to look like furniture. The island, dining table, and bar work table allow for enjoying good food and company throughout the space. The large metal range hood from Raw Urth stands sentinel over the professional range, creating a contrasting focal point in the design. Cabinetry that stretches from floor to ceiling eliminates the look of floating upper cabinets while providing ample storage space. Un loft immense, dans un ancien garage, à rénover entièrement pour moins de 250 euros par mètre carré ! Il a fallu ruser.... les anciens propriétaires avaient peint les murs en vert pomme et en violet, aucun sol n'était semblable à l'autre.... l'uniformisation s'est faite par le choix d'un beau blanc mat partout, sols murs et plafonds, avec un revêtement de sol pour usage commercial qui a permis de proposer de la résistance tout en conservant le bel aspect des lattes de parquet (en réalité un parquet flottant de très mauvaise facture, qui semble ainsi du parquet massif simplement peint). Le blanc a aussi apporté de la luminosité et une impression de calme, d'espace et de quiétude, tout en jouant au maximum de la luminosité naturelle dans cet ancien garage où les seules fenêtres sont des fenêtres de toit qui laissent seulement voir le ciel. La salle de bain était en carrelage marron, remplacé par des carreaux émaillés imitation zelliges ; pour donner du cachet et un caractère unique au lieu, les meubles ont été maçonnés sur mesure : plan vasque dans la salle de bain, bibliothèque dans le salon de lecture, vaisselier dans l'espace dinatoire, meuble de rangement pour les jouets dans le coin des enfants. La cuisine ne pouvait pas être refaite entièrement pour une question de budget, on a donc simplement remplacé les portes blanches laquées d'origine par du beau pin huilé et des poignées industrielles. Toujours pour respecter les contraintes financières de la famille, les meubles et accessoires ont été dans la mesure du possible chinés sur internet ou aux puces. Les nouveaux propriétaires souhaitaient un univers industriels campagnard, un sentiment de maison de vacances en noir, blanc et bois. Seule exception : la chambre d'enfants (une petite fille et un bébé) pour laquelle une estrade sur mesure a été imaginée, avec des rangements en dessous et un espace pour la tête de lit du berceau. Le papier peint Rebel Walls à l'ambiance sylvestre complète la déco, très nature et poétique.
