BGD&C Custom HomesThe most used room in the home- an open concept kitchen, family room and area for casual dining flooded with light. She is originally from California, so an abundance of natural light as well as the relationship between indoor and outdoor space were very important to her. She also considered the kitchen the most important room in the house. There was a desire for large, open rooms and the kitchen needed to have lots of counter space and stool seating. With all of this considered we designed a large open plan kitchen-family room-breakfast table space that is anchored by the large center island. The breakfast room has floor to ceiling windows on the South and East wall, and there is a large, bright window over the kitchen sink. The Family room opens up directly to the back patio and yard, as well as a short flight of steps to the garage roof deck, where there is a vegetable garden and fruit trees. Her family also visits for 2-4 weeks at a time so the spaces needed to comfortably accommodate not only the owners large family (two adults and 4 children), but extended family as well.

Maraya Interior DesignThis real working cattle ranch has a real stone masonry fireplace, with custom handmade wrought iron doors. The TV is covered by a painting, which rolls up inside the frame when the games are on. All the A.V equipment is in the hand scraped custom stained and glazed walnut cabinetry. Rustic Pine walls are glazed for an aged look, and the chandelier is handmade, custom wrought iron. All the comfortable furniture is new custom designed to look old. Mantel is a log milled from the ranch.
This rustic working walnut ranch in the mountains features natural wood beams, real stone fireplaces with wrought iron screen doors, antiques made into furniture pieces, and a tree trunk bed. All wrought iron lighting, hand scraped wood cabinets, exposed trusses and wood ceilings give this ranch house a warm, comfortable feel. The powder room shows a wrap around mosaic wainscot of local wildflowers in marble mosaics, the master bath has natural reed and heron tile, reflecting the outdoors right out the windows of this beautiful craftman type home. The kitchen is designed around a custom hand hammered copper hood, and the family room's large TV is hidden behind a roll up painting. Since this is a working farm, their is a fruit room, a small kitchen especially for cleaning the fruit, with an extra thick piece of eucalyptus for the counter top.

Atwood: Fine Architectural CabinetryThis Lake Keowee home beckons the great outdoors to come inside both day and night. Kitchen and adjacent Great Room boast full story windows in opposite directions with truly big sky views. The pop up television is concealed within the cabinetry.

Each instrument is connected to the Audio Distribution system so everyone may enjoy the performance; no mater where they are in the house. Audio controls allow precise volume adjustments of incoming and outgoing signals. Automatic shades protect the furnishings from sun damage and works with the Smart Thermostat to keep the environment at the right temperature all-year round. Freezing temperature sensors ensure the fireplace automatically ignites just in case the HVAC lost power or broke down. Contact sensors on the windows and door work with the home weather station to determine if windows/doors need to be closed when raining; not to mention the primary use with the security system to detect unwanted intruders.
