WERTHEBACH Treppenrenovierungen mit WertManchmal ist es gut, wenn jemand einen kennt, der einen kennt, der jemanden kennt. So auch hier. Die junge Familie hat sich wunderbar im Haus eingerichtet. Alles neu. Sogar die Haustüre ist neu. Nur das bestehende Treppenhaus aus den 60-er Jahren trübte das zeitgemäße Wohngefühl. Eine Großbaustelle mit Abriss der alten Terrazzo-Stufen samt Bodenfläche kam nicht in Frage. Die Belegung mit Fliesen stellte den Fliesenleger vor echte Herausforderungen, zumal die Haustüre auch nur 6 mm Platz für einen neuen Belag gelassen hat. Am Kopf kratzend erinnert sich der Fliesenleger an uns und verweist die Kunden zu uns. "Die WERTHEBACH´s haben da sicher eine maßgeschneiderte Lösung." Und so nehmen die Dinge ihren Lauf. Verbaut wurde unser "Treppe-über-Treppe" System mit übergroßen Bodenplatten, die sich in Stufen und Randleisten wiederfinden. Das schwarze Material ist echter Naturstein, genauer gesagt robuster Basalt: "Nero Assoluto Simbabwe" in matt gelederter Oberfläche. Die Übergänge zur Haustür, wie auch die stolperfreien Übergänge zu Bad und Wohnzimmer wirken, als ob das Treppenhaus schon immer so gewesen sei. Unser präziser Einbau dauerte 3 Tage. Boden und Stufen waren sofort begehbar – ganz ohne Abrissarbeiten und ohne Schmutz.
So freut es uns immer wieder, wenn das Gesicht unserer Kunden vor lauter Schwarzseherei ein freudiges Grinsen bis über beide Ohren ziert.
Elite Metalcraft Co. LtdElite Metalcraft were instructed to design, manufacture and install two identical semi-elliptical staircases for a lavish home in North London. The stairs were constructed from helically rolled mild steel stringers which were slotted to hold a matching curved glass balustrade, completed with a brushed stainless steel handrail. Open-riser treads formed in polished marble were used to add reflection to the naturally illuminated stairwell. These elliptical staircases provide the standout architectural feature of the building, adding to the portfolio of Elite Metalcrafts specialist high-end staircase designs.
Century Stair CompanyThoughtful planning went into every detail for this magnificent wooden staircase; all oak treads, risers and stringers were cut to the exact construction specifications provided by builder/owners. It is the main focal point in their magnificent two-story foyer, surrounded by their beautifully decorated rooms and custom built-ins; a beautifully painted dome ceiling complements beautifully the timeless black iron-forged balusters and dark-stained oak treads. SA Spooner Architectural Joinery and CarvingS A Spooner made this case to replace a missing original that was remove for a Grade 1 listed property in SW 1. The original was removed in the 1970s to make way for more important office space. We were lucky enough to have access to an existing example within the same street and allowing us to take a full measured survey. SA Spooner provided the craft skills in-house and experience that the clients, architects and the planing departments were looking for to craft such an important piece. The original was made in 1705 in the Queen Anne period by the best craftsmen of the day. Our job was to produce a new case to match and craft with soul, all items are worked by men, not machines.
