Fawn Interiors StudioOur first project for this thatched cottage (approx age: 250 years old) was a challenging one. Although the property is old, the owners wanted a environment full of all modern conveniences, including an electric Aga. It was a full renovation of the kitchen, including space planning to create an easy-to-use family kitchen with lots of storage, overseeing the removal of the old kitchen and the installation of the handmade shaker kitchen, sourcing all the ironmongery, lighting and appliances and having the polished marble work surface installed.

For the Admiral Tudor kitchen, we wanted a rich, textured feel with exquisite detail and carefully considered construction. The custom walnut cabinetry plays beautifully with the Lacanche range in Armor, and the simple backsplash allows the calacatta marble countertop to take top billing The end result is one of the most unique, gorgeous and functional kitchens we've ever designed.

Jackson Design & RemodelingFor a client with an enthusiastic appreciation of retro design, this sunny ode to kitchens of the past is a cheerful and comforting retreat for today. The client wanted a kitchen that creatively expressed her fun, unconventional taste while providing all the modern conveniences of a contemporary home.
Space was borrowed from an existing office to provide more open area and easier navigation in the kitchen. Bright, optimistic yellow sets the tone in the room, with retro-inspired appliances in buttery yellow chosen as key elements of the design. A generous apron-front farm sink gleams with clean white enameled cast iron and is outfitted with a rare retro faucet with spray and scrub brush attachments. Black trim against the yellow ceramic tile countertops defines the kitchen’s lines. Simple maple cabinetry painted white with black ceramic knobs provides a modern level of storage.
Playful positioning of contrasting tiles on the floor presents a modern, quirky interpretation of the traditional checkerboard pattern in this classic kitchen with an original point of view.

The CousinsRustic meets luxe in the home of a fashionista and hunter couple. Wood paneled cabinets, hardwood flooring, and wood paneled walls play the more masculine counterpart to white snakeskin counters and backsplash. A chandelier made from deer antlers pops off the dark backdrop of a focal wall made with shou sugi ban technique. Aqua, retro kitchen appliances give a pop of color in this rustic space, while a live edge bar made from California redwood slabs tops off a glass partition between the dining room and living room, seamlessly blending the connected yet distinct spaces.
Lara M1920s Seattle home. The goal of the remodel was to honor the time period. Kitchen is enclosed with one door to the dining room. Custom stained glass cabinet doors match inset Prairie style tiles to the left of the sink. Breakfast area: L-shaped bench with Moroccan throw rugs used to make custom cushion. Custom soapstone table with caster wheels. Bluestone tile.
weetuCustom kitchen designed for a client who loves to cook. Every square inch was planned for specific cooking tools, utensils, and homeware. The orange oven, a wedding gift, was the focal point of the design.

ArtichokeThis bespoke professional cook's kitchen features a custom copper and stainless steel La Cornue range cooker and extraction canopy, built to match the client's copper pans. Italian Black Basalt stone shelving lines the walls resting on Acero stone brackets, a detail repeated on bench seats in front of the windows between glazed crockery cabinets. The table was made in solid English oak with turned legs. The project’s special details include inset LED strip lighting rebated into the underside of the stone shelves, wired invisibly through the stone brackets.
Primary materials: Hand painted Sapele; Italian Black Basalt; Acero limestone; English oak; Lefroy Brooks white brick tiles; antique brass, nickel and pewter ironmongery.

Glazed cabinetry with Crema Marfil and Chateau brown leathered slabs. Hand made custom copper and iron range hood. Oak wood flooring and Andalusian tile complete the look.
Project in Malibu designed by Maraya Interior Design, a native of the beloved Malibu Park above Zuma Beach from the 60's and 70's. (Maraya's childhood home was one of the few that did not burn down!!!) From their beautiful resort town of Ojai, they serve clients in Montecito, Hope Ranch, Malibu, Westlake and Calabasas, across the tri-county areas of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles, south to Hidden Hills- north through Solvang and more.

Kitchen is finished with crown molding and light rail molding. perfectly flush under-cabinet lighting and "x" detail at Peninsula. Coffee bar was added bonus for an area that used to be a laundry room.

Carved Custom CabinetsThis Spanish colonial panel style from carvedcabinet.com (Carved Custom Cabinets) was inspired by a 200 year old, small, hand carved trunk on legs displayed in the Museum of New Mexico. It was found in a village north of Santa Fe. The trim surrounding the panels was inspired by a book on the history of woodworking in New Mexico. Finished in a honey (Miel) with dark glaze to bring out the carving and medium distressing.
