A colorful patio to enjoy tropical plants, eat dinner, cozy up around the chiminea in the winter, and shade yourself from the heat of the Texas sun the rest of the year. The concrete slab of the deck was painted in the same light blue as the blue room for the base and then used the royal blue from that room to add a tile-look pattern.

We designed the interstitial space between two existing buildings as an outdoor dining space defined by the rear of the main house, the new storage shed, and the rear building housing the master bedroom suite.

A Garden for Orphaned Plants and Found Objects:
The leftover space between the home's entry and detached garage has been transformed into an eclectic garden of plants and odd objects. Purposefully designed as a 'stage set' for the client's 'finds', it is not too perfect! It invites the client to experiment with plants and accommodates constant change without destroying the design.
D. Fadal Designs, Inc.
We loved collaborating with the homeowner to create an outdoor
living space that reflects their individual style of whimsy and sophistication.
The functional custom drapery can be tied back and left opened or closed. Seating uses a mix of patterns and contrasting colors with custom chair cushions and bolters and accent pillows with outdoor fabrics.
The pillows on each side of the fireplace are accented with red squares framed with black and white pom-pom trim.
Chair and bench cushions, chair pillows and outdoor drapery-designed, created and installed by D. Fadal Designs Designing Workroom.
