This home has an enclosed patio that leads out through double barn doors to an outdoor covered patio.
Archadeck of Southwest Houston
This Friendswood, TX, family had a fantastic existing backyard with a large custom pool. They imagined themselves getting even more time by the pool with much-needed sun protection, a common request here in the Houston area. With substantial poolside space, Archadeck of Southwest Houston was able to design and build a large covered patio and outdoor kitchen outdoor living combination. Not only will they have a place of respite and entertainment, they now have a protected area with a built-in outdoor kitchen for cooking and eating under their covered patio. Talk about usable outdoor living space!

Even outdoors can feel like a living room when you use found, collected, and functional pieces.

This covered porch adds lots of entertaining space to this home. Not only during the summer, but during the rainy fall/winter time. The outdoor fireplace mimics the inside one and provides storage for wood below the hearth, as well as additional sitting. Teak furniture was selected to withstand the beach climate. The hanging basket candles are hung on a rope pulley allowing my client to easily light them. She found them abandoned in an alley by some garbage cans. After walking by them several times over a period of a couple of weeks, she realized no one wanted them but her.
Archadeck of Northeast Dallas
The North Dallas homeowners opted for a gas-burning fire pit on the patio as well as a seating wall facing it. Both are made of beautiful Granbury chopped stone. For the top surface of the seating wall and the fire pit, we used gray Lueders stone. There is plenty of room around the fire pit for additional seating when needed. Just pull up a chair!
Archadeck of Austin
The new elevated patio has a concrete floor with a textured overlay. The homeowners plan to dine on their new patio when the weather is fine. They asked Archadeck of Austin to design a simple outdoor kitchen area. What did they want to include there? A space for their Big Green Egg smoker, some counter space, electrical outlets, and drawers.
