Need a work space and don't have one? Transform any small area into a home office with swing-arm fixtures. They provide light when you need it and tuck against the wall when you don't. Here's another tip: Our new barn door hardware and barn doors make it a snap to convert a closet or small room into useful studio space.

This is the finished project, one wall of it. Lots of display lighting, all dimmable. Industrial style hardware. Unfortunately my photography skills do not do justice to the very rich look of the dye we mixed specially for this project.

Synthesis Design + Architecture
This home office for a private personal investment adviser responds to the clients brief of a discrete yet sculptural design solution for a home office by conceptually draping a dynamic surface over an orthogonal arrangement of the required home office elements including a work desk, storage units, printer, paper shredder etc. The fluid geometric form is articulated as a series of alternating CNC milled birch plywood ribs. The frosted storage Perspex storage elements are internally illuminated with LED’s to gently articulate the floating boxes within the fluid field of curved ribs. With a strict budget, this project was an exercise in realizing complex geometries with limited finances.

This client wanted a fresh start, taking only minimal items from her old house when she moved. We gave the kitchen and half bath a facelift, and then decorated the rest of the house with all new furniture and decor, while incorporating her unique and funky art and family pieces. The result is a house filled with fun and unexpected surprises, one of our favorites to date!
