Part of the remodel was to open up the dining room, living room and entrance hall. A beautiful oval feature dining table with nickel pedestal and eight dual fabric dining chairs sit in front of the garden facing bay window. A sideboard with mirror and lamps, round side table and free standing drinks cabinet finish the space. The open plan nature of the space required the design finishes to harmonise throughout. There are so many details and sensations to every elements in the space. The custom dining table was fabricated by AAHLLC after many months of exploration. The round dining table can accommodate a small gathering at 66" and perimeter leaves attach for a maximum of 88" diameter for larger gatherings. Decorative brass rings at the legs add an unexpected jewelry to the base. A mixture of two fabrics dress a refurbished Restoration Hardware chair; the exterior fabric is a digital velvet print. It took three tries to get that blue right! That's de Gournay wallpaper. It's all hand painted. You pick the pattern you want, and you pick a background color — or, as in our case, work with the company to create it. If your table hasn’t been sold with matching chairs then you have some extra flexibility to select dining chairs that suit your desired dining room feel. For traditional dining rooms you will want to opt for a full set of high backed formal dining chairs, whether these are upholstered, leather or wood framed. If you are looking for a more informal dining room, then a selection of mismatched chairs in different materials such as moulded plastic and even metal can be a great way to achieve this. For a really relaxed dining experience, you could even opt for a full length bench, which has the additional advantage of saving space as it can be tucked away under the table when not in use.

How should I decorate my eclectic dining room?
