The overall space shows the multipurpose uses. The door way on the left goes into the work out area, the door in the right corner goes into the powder room. There is still room for storage under the stairs and below the readying nook.

The scope was a stimulating child's area for my client's grandchildren, which was also aesthetically pleasing to other users of the basement too! We developed a story that had personal connections so that the children could also relate to the detail of the wall wrap. They love it!

This fun, funky basement space was renovated with both kids and adults in mind. A large sectional is the perfect place to watch the game and another game - at the same time! Thanks to two flat screen TVs, this family can please everyone in the room. A kids space for a ping pong table and drum set sits behind the TV viewing space and a wet bar for drinks and snacks serves everyone. Concrete floors were painted and rugs were used to warm up the space. Surround sound systems were installed into the ceiling and walls for a seamless look. This is the perfect space for entertaining guests of any age.

In an age where space is at a premium, the newest trend in urban home renovation is the basement conversion, allowing a homeowner to increase the square footage of their home without increasing their plot size or reducing the size of their garden. Basement excavations and constructions can provide an extra floor of living space and with modern construction techniques a basement can become an eclectic bright, warm and airy heart of your home. An increasing number of us are transforming this previously wasted space into an awe inspiring kitchen or living area, whilst those seeking to create a real luxury addition to their home are opting for eclectic basement ideas such as home cinemas, gyms and spas, man caves or pool rooms.

What type of home is suitable for an eclectic basement conversion?

A eclectic basement conversion is particularly suitable for urban homes on small plots and can offer the perfect solution for extending a terraced or semi-detached urban home.
