This is the hall bath for the two guest bedrooms. The walls are white painted wood. The vanity is built-in, but has a freestanding furniture-look.

Custom cabinetry, vintage light fixtures and antique beams create a bath meant to feel more like a room than a bathroom. A beautifully curved tub surround is detailed perfectly.

These photographs convey a sense of the beautiful lakeside location of the property, as well as the comprehensive refurbishment to update the midcentury cottage. The cottage, which won the RTÉ television programme Home of the Year is a tranquil home for interior designer Egon Walesch and his partner in county Westmeath, Ireland.
The bathroom with its large picture window looking out over Lough Ree. The cast iron bath and wall-mounted sink taps are from Aston Matthews. The bath taps are from Lefroy Brooks. Blue Marimekko towel and Lindsey Lang encaustic tiles. A Duravit sink sits on a repurposed vintage washstand with a marble splash back to match the top of the washstand.

The historic Schweitzer Institute was renovated to convert the museum with offices and living quarters, to a private residence. Renovations included creating a master suite. Additions included bedrooms, bathrooms and a great room with two story loft-style feel. A pool and pool house were added to the grounds.

The object was to make the most of the compact space in the customer's bungalow. A niche in the wall added medicine cabinet storage, and a shallow linen cabinet made use of the wasted space between the bathroom door and the vanity, which was not deep enough for a normal depth cabinet.
Sweet Home of Mine
The bathroom flooring was changed from ceramic tile to ceramic wood grain floor tile. I changed out the contractor grade cabinets and put in a cabinet that looks like a piece of furniture. I converted the single sink to a double sink and added new gorgeous faucets to the marble top bathroom cabinet. I took the existing mirror and added trim pieces around it and raised it to look like a expensive mirror. Shelving and hardware were added to complete the look.
