Corner Kitchen
Moving the sink to a corner position really improved function in this kitchen. Rich materials greatly improved aesthetics; cherry cabinets, granite, porcelain floor tile. What a delight to cook in! In the old kitchen the sink was on the window wall but not centered on the window--an unbalanced look. This also created a tiny countertop next to the fridge. Moving the sink to the corner was not a huge expense and improved the countertop workspace and balanced out the whole design. Soffits were also removed so that taller cabinets could capture more storage space. Plenty of drawers to keep everything organized are a requirement for every kitchen.
