The renovations include a wraparound deck, an expansive travertine natural stone patio, stairways and pathways along with concrete retaining walls and column accents with dramatic planters. The pathways meander throughout the landscape... some with travertine stepping stones and gravel and those below the majestic oaks left natural with fallen leaves. Raised vegetable beds and fruit trees occupy some of the sunniest areas of the landscape. A variety of low-water and low-maintenance plants for both sunny and shady areas include several succulents, grasses, CA natives and other site-appropriate Mediterranean plants complimented by a variety of boulders. Studio VlockFireball in the garden
Oyster Pond is one of Falmouth's treasured natural resources adjacent to Vineyard Sound on Cape Cod. The owners commissioned two pieces, a 40" Fireball and a Screen Play. The Blue Heron Bliss Fireball captures the magnificent life of Oyster Pond – herons, dragonflies, lotus flowers, frogs and lily pads. The Fireball sits comfortably on the front lawn, punctuating the abundant garden of limelight hydrangeas and beautiful purple and yellow flowers. Just steps from the water and the main house, the imagery of this Fireball connects family and friends to this magical place.
