This light filled living room is highlighted by ample built-in storage and a stately fireplace surrounded with herringbone marble tile. The beautiful woodwork and inviting furnishings make this home a comfortable place to greet guests or to simply relax with family in the evenings.

A fresh beachy palette washes over this permanent residence in Delray Beach that had been newly remodeled once Laure Nell Interiors came on board and needed its interiors to be brought up to par with the exterior. Situated on the water minutes from the ocean, the home called for an elegant coastal look. Its owners—avid boaters with two children and a penchant for entertaining—wanted a soothing coastal palette with high-performing, durable materials and low toxicity across products. We updated the typical coastal look of blues and grays and opted instead for sandy hues and natural elements like sisal a la Palecek and Serena & Lily. We added wall paneling and Schumacher draperies for a light, airy aesthetic, and furnished the foyer, dining room, living room and primary bedroom using pieces from Adriana Hoyos, Made Goods and Bungalow 5. Lovingly called the ‘white house’, this stunning Queenslander was given a contemporary makeover with oak floors, custom joinery and modern furniture and artwork. Creative detailing and unique finish selections reference the period details of a traditional home, while bringing it into modern times.

This family wanted a cheerful casual coastal living room. We brought in lots of pattern and a red/white/navy palette to drive home the coastal look. The formerly red brick gas fireplace was wrapped in ship lap and given a custom hemlock mantel shelf. We also added an accent wall with navy grasscloth wallpaper that beautifully sets off the ivory sofa and unique wooden boat wreath.

This is a major update to a timeless home built in the 80's. We updated the kitchen by maximizing the length of the space and placing a coffee bar at the far side. We also made the longest island possible in order to make the kitchen feel large and for storage. In addition we added and update to the powder room and the reading nook on the second floor. We also updated the flooring to add a herringbone pattern in the hallway. Finally, as this family room was sunken, we levelled off the drop down to make for a better look and flow.

A thoughtful collaboration brought this getaway home to realization. It started with our client’s desire to create a special gift to themselves, in the form of a retreat. We worked with a special team of design and construction experts to create a welcoming waterfront cottage to the family and all those who visit. Capturing views of the water, the home is comprised of curated spaces to gather, both inside and out, for our clients and their family and friends to enjoy.

Sometimes what you’re looking for is right in your own backyard. This is what our Darien Reno Project homeowners decided as we launched into a full house renovation beginning in 2017. The project lasted about one year and took the home from 2700 to 4000 square feet.

The family room has a long wall of built-in cabinetry as well as floating shelves in a wood tone that coordinates with the floor and fireplace mantle. Wood beams run along the ceiling and wainscoting is an element we carried throughout this room and throughout the house. A dark charcoal gray quartz countertop coordinates with the dark gray tones in the kitchen. The custom fireplace stores firewood. The stairs lead to kids bedrooms and a home office.
