Vicki Simon Interior DesignWhen the house was purchased, someone had lowered the ceiling with gyp board. We re-designed it with a coffer that looked original to the house. The antique stand for the vessel sink was sourced from an antique store in Berkeley CA. The flooring was replaced with traditional 1" hex tile.

Peregrine Design BuildTucked into the hallway powder room, is a custom built vanity, that takes advantage of every inch.
Vernon WentzThis complete remodel was crafted after the mid century modern and was an inspiration to photograph. The use of brick work, cedar, glass and metal on the outside was well thought out as its transition from the great room out flowed to make the interior and exterior seem as one. The home was built by Classic Urban Homes and photography by Vernon Wentz of Ad Imagery.
Habitar DesignDesigner, Kapan Shipman, created two contemporary fireplaces and unique built-in displays in this historic Andersonville home. The living room cleverly uses the unique angled space to house a sleek stone and wood fireplace with built in shelving and wall-mounted tv. We also custom built a vertical built-in closet at the back entryway as a mini mudroom for extra storage at the door. In the open-concept dining room, a gorgeous white stone gas fireplace is the focal point with a built-in credenza buffet for the dining area. At the front entryway, Kapan designed one of our most unique built ins with floor-to-ceiling wood beams anchoring white pedestal boxes for display. Another beauty is the industrial chic stairwell combining steel wire and a dark reclaimed wood bannister.
zpd+a and roomTEN designThe Powder Room integrates the home's attitude of casual elegance with touches of formality: an onyx vessel is set off by green penny tiles, and a vintage wool and silk rug adds texture and color while simple hand-blown glass orb provides a warm glow. MC Design LLCThis powder room sits between the kitchen and the home office. To maximize space, we built a furniture-like vanity with a vessel sink on top and a wall mounted faucet. We placed pocket doors on both sides, and wrapped the room in a custom-made wainscoting, painted green with a glazed finish.

of this former project to reflect the evolving tastes of today’s
clientele. Accenting the rich textures with clean modern
pieces the design transforms the aesthetic direction and
modern appeal of this award winning downtown loft.
When originally completed this loft graced the cover of a
leading shelter magazine and was the ASID residential/loft
design winner, but was now in need of a reinterpreted design
to reflect the new directions in interiors. Through the careful
selection of modern pieces and addition of a more vibrant
color palette the design was able to transform the aesthetic
of the entire space.
