Five SextillionWithin this Powder room a natural Carrara marble basin sits on the beautiful Oasis Rialto vanity unit whilst the stunning Petale de Cristal basin mixer with Baccarat crystal handles takes centre stage. The bespoke bevelled mirror has been paired with crystal wall lights from Oasis to add a further element of glamour with monochrome wallpaper from Wall & Deco adding texture, and the four piece book-matched stone floor completing the luxurious look.
J.THOM Residential Design & CabinetryClients wanted to keep a powder room on the first floor and desired to relocate it away from kitchen and update the look. We needed to minimize the powder room footprint and tuck it into a service area instead of an open public area.
We minimize the footprint and tucked the PR across from the basement stair which created a small ancillary room and buffer between the adjacent rooms. We used a small wall hung basin to make the small room feel larger by exposing more of the floor footprint. Wainscot paneling was installed to create balance, scale and contrasting finishes.
The new powder room exudes simple elegance from the polished nickel hardware, rich contrast and delicate accent lighting. The space is comfortable in scale and leaves you with a sense of eloquence.

Robeson DesignThe powder room has a beautiful sculptural mirror that complements the mercury glass hanging pendant lights. The chevron tiled backsplash adds visual interest while creating a focal wall.
Joni Spear Interior DesignThibaut Medallion Paisley wallpaper adds a blast of color and drama to the small powder room. Trim paint is Benjamin Moore-Boca Raton. The existing faucet was replaced with the French-inspired satin brass fixture from Newport Brass. The 3 light vanity sconce adds an architectural detail and the medallion on the brass mirror echoes the design motif of the paper.

By removing a wall and an unused linen cabinet, we were able to install a larger, more functional linen cabinet that was painted a vibrant blue and designed to match the original beadboard wainscotting and trim.
