Under the Roof Decorating
I started by creating a cozy conversation area by placing the furniture at an angle to give the space the feel of a comfortable outdoor living room.
With the floral trend being all the rage this season, I couldn’t resist adding bright floral outdoor cushions to jazz up the space. They brighten up the black wicker furniture and tie in nicely with flowers from the front garden and the yellow siding of the house, making the space cheerful and inviting.
Since the clematis we planted last year hasn't grown in yet, I bought a Black-eyed Susan vine for extra privacy. It’s in a pot for now, but I plan to drape it over the privacy screen .

Degnan Design-Build-Remodel
Our clients Wayne and Christa had an existing deck on their 25-year old home on its last legs. Badly in need of renovation and repair, the original was built by the former owners as a DIY project. The deck consisted of three different sections; a nice sized area immediately outside the patio door, a space to the left that stepped down into a sunken hot tub, and a small grilling area that transitioned to the right-hand side of the backyard. A screen porch was the option our clients chose, and we set out to create an efficient design. Using our final design and inexpensive materials, we were able to exceed their expectations and deliver a traditional screen porch within their budget.
Brunswick Tile and Flooring
Our Bolivia client used Brunswick Tile and Flooring to help select and install porcelain tile on a screened back porch floor. The American Olean Laurel Heights Elevated Beige porcelain tile upgraded the existing cement surface with style while providing the homeowner a durable product for outdoors that is easy to clean and capable of providing increased comfort to the bare feet when relaxing outdoors.

The three season porch is easily accessed from the dining area. While entertaining, this space keeps the hostess connected to her guests. The view is a field of trees and wild flowers. The carpet is Beaulieu Smoothe Ave in Midnight. This view features customer Hunter Douglas roller shades for shade and the concessional privacy.

Under the Roof Decorating
Just for the fun of it, since I already had black and white cushions, I created this trendy city-chic look. I was amazed at how different the two looks were and that they were achieved by simply switching the cushions and throw — the furniture stayed in the exact same spot. Now I can pick whichever look I want, say floral for mornings and black and white for evenings, all with very minimal effort.
