Lunghi filari alberati, campi di frumento, fossati, questi sono gli ”elementi” che scandiscono il paesaggio del graticolato romano e della pianura padana, ambiente in cui si colloca Stay House. Un paesaggio in cui l’aspetto architettonico è fortemente legato al “Genius Loci” di questi luoghi, quale elemento di caratterizzazione, di ricordo, di legame con quello che era il modo di abitarli. Genius loci, come inizio di una strategia di organizzazione dello spazio che ha voluto interpretare le geometrie di questo paesaggio, ricco di elementi e con la quale interagire all’interno del processo architettonico. Forme semplici che rispecchiano i caratteri tipologici, che scandiscono i volumi , due, sovrapposti a identificare lo spazio dedicato al giorno e quello della notte. La tecnologia architettonica d’oggi ci permette di ruotare e sospendere i volumi, generando cosi una pianta ad L e corte con sguardo ai filari alberati, al frumento, al monte grappa quale cornice dello spazio giorno con cui il dialogo è continuo. Fluttuante, la zona notte si sovrappone al volume giorno unendo i vari ambienti interni in una successione di spazi che compongono il modo di abitare in stay house, in maniera semplice ma curata per rispondere a quelle esigenze di “lusso spartano” quale risposta all’esigenza di realizzare con materiali semplici un abitare unico e speciale.

The final design plan will be a White home Black trim but the builders here in Colorado take months of planning and permitting so they won't budge on color. This home is at the 4 year mark so at 5-7 years its worth investing in whole home exterior paint at that time. Until then we take a few cost effective steps to set our vison in the right direction. White washing this brick will lighten things up a bit

To home stage this property, we painted the fence, and changed out the door, address sign, mailbox, and light, as well we cut back the shrubbery, we did not change out the whole door jam, just the door. It updated the property, tied into the fairly recent updated windows. This property was built in the 1980's, but with some simple cost effective changes, we were able to update it, for a quick resale.

With so much attention devoted to interior design, the exterior of a home can often get overlooked, but as the first thing that welcomes both us and our guests, it is worth devoting some time tending to the outside of your house. Furthermore, focusing on the kerb appeal of your home can add significant value if and when it comes time to sell up. Georgian, Edwardian and Victorian homes, with their bay windows and elegant plasterwork, often benefit from built in architecture advantages, but even if your house design is unassuming from the outside, small decorative and structural improvements to the exterior of your home can equal huge impact. Key areas of building design to focus on are the front door, the driveway or approach to your home, the porch area, the windows, the facade and the roof. And just a note of caution... before any significant exterior architecture gets under way, check first whether you need planning permission for your exterior house designs– this applies particularly to listed houses or buildings in a conservation area, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. How do I give my home an exterior facelift?

If you’re working with an architect on a brand new build, the options are endless when it comes to deciding on the exterior architecture. But first things first, you will need to check planning permissions, building regulations and local restrictions, such as being in a conservation area, to make sure your plans for your exterior house designs will meet stipulations. If you are building in a street with predominantly Victorian facades, with bay windows and side returns, you might need to ensure your house designs fit in with the rest of the homes on the street, but if you’re building in a more remote area you’ll probably have more freedom for your building design. There are many architectural decisions to make, do you want a flat, gabled, hipped, mansard or perhaps even a curved roof? Do you want bay windows? Crittall windows? Perhaps external shutters? Your architect or builder will be able to guide you through the best exterior architecture choices for your house designs.
