Bedroom in this attic apartment was just big enough for a double bed and had plenty of built in storage. Blue/green/white furnishings and vibrant painting enhanced the lovely light streaming through the velux window. This small flat on the top floor of the victorian house had a fantastic light but the walls and ceilings were at an angle. Unusual and not easy to furnish, it was difficult for viewers to see how thy can use the space. We managed to make it functional and attractive, and create a happy feel about it - ideal for a first time buyer. It did not stay long on the market.

Space was at a premium in this 1930s bedroom refurbishment, so textured panelling was used to create a headboard no deeper than the skirting, while bespoke birch ply storage makes use of every last millimeter of space. The circular cut-out handles take up no depth while relating to the geometry of the lamps and mirror. Muted blues, & and plaster pink create a calming backdrop for the rich mustard carpet, brick zellige tiles and petrol velvet curtains.

We loved working with this young client. She wanted a room that felt bright with plenty of motivational artwork. We worked with her to create a colour scheme that could grow with her over the next few years. We added lots of textures with these beautiful embroidered geometric cushions and plush velvet roman blinds and pelmet. We added a collection of motivational artwork and repainted her existing bookcase. The result was the transformation from a disjointed unwelcoming space to a beautiful calming room.

This loftspace has been transformed into a cool bedroom by taking the ceiling up into the roof and dropping two pendant lamps from Habitat down over the bed as bedside lamps. The pink is picked up in the bedding and chunky runner whilst the rug and side lamp warm the room through with a hint of gold. The bedding was hand dyed using an ombre effect to match the Clarissa Hulse wallpaper downstairs.
