12/12 Architects & PlannersThese clients needed a first-floor shower for their medically-compromised children, so extended the existing powder room into the adjacent mudroom to gain space for the shower. The 3/4 bath is fully accessible, and easy to clean - with a roll-in shower, wall-mounted toilet, and fully tiled floor, chair-rail and shower. The gray wall paint above the white subway tile is both contemporary and calming. Multiple shower heads and wands in the 3'x6' shower provided ample access for assisting their children in the shower. The white furniture-style vanity can be seen from the kitchen area, and ties in with the design style of the rest of the home. The bath is both beautiful and functional. We were honored and blessed to work on this project for our dear friends.

Sue Monday's DesignThis remodel started with a blank slate! It was a new home with no personality at all. Straight beige throughout. The goal was to to add some style and upscale the look which we did new cabinets, fixtures, sinks, color, and a totally custom shower stall.
Remodel Works Bath & Kitchenthis Rancho Bernardo master suite remodel we recently finished! This incredible master suite features Brantford faucets with "Bianco" Piedrafina countertop and backsplash. The existing cabinets were refinished in a marshmallow cream color to go with the light blue walls. The highlight feature is the Hydrosystems Lifestyle white walk-in tub! We can design functional bathrooms to meet our clients needs! In addition to the master suite remodel, we also remodeled our clients additional bathroom! The second bathroom also features the Brantford faucets with "Bianco" Piedrafina countertop and backsplash. Also, the existing cabinets were refinished in the marshmallow cream color. The shower features a Swan Veritek white shower pan with a clear glass bypass. Morever, the shower has a tile niche with a glass shelf and a reinforced wall for a Elite grab bar. There are actually regulations around what type of light fittings you can use and where – IP67 rating lights for submerged areas e.g. inside baths and sinks (Zone 0); IP65 for any area above a shower or bath (Zone 1); and IP44 rating for anything 0.6m from a bath or basin (Zone 2). After you’ve made sure your light fittings are safe and to-code, you can consider the type and style you’d like as your working through your bathroom ideas. The great thing is that both floor tiles and wall tiles come in a huge variety of sizes, styles, colours and patterns, so you can remodel your room completely with whatever tile choices fit with your bathroom ideas. When it comes to flooring, tiles will be durable, easy to clean and deal well with water, but if you want something different you could go with modern concrete, traditional or country-style treated wooden floorboards, or a bit more quirky bamboo, cork or vinyl. The best small bathroom ideas will maximise the space you have. From installing a bidet to simple decorative tips there are plenty of things you can do to make it look bigger. Recessed shelves can make a huge difference both visually and practically to small bathrooms, so if you are able to have these installed when your walls are being renovated you could add some to your shower or sink area. You could choose pale colours and iridescent tiles that reflect the light, keep walls and ceilings the same colour and texture, and use complementary shades throughout the bathroom– fewer contrasts and transitions will help maintain the sense of space. Floating bathroom units also draw the eye to visible floor space underneath them, and clear glass shower screens will keep the room feeling open and airy.
