DesignbyRuchiThis is the kids bathroom and I wanted it to be playful. Adding geometry and pattern in the floor makes a bold fun statement. I used enhances subway tile with beautiful matte texture in two colors. I tiled the tub alcove dark blue with a full length niche for all the bath toys that accumulate. In the rest of the bathroom, I used white tiles. The custom Lacava vanity with a black open niche makes a strong statement here and jumps off against the white tiles.
I converted this bathroom from a shower to a tub to make it a kids bathroom. One of my favourite details here is the niche running the full length of the tub for the unlimited toys kids need to bring with them. The black schluter detail makes it more defined and draws the eye in. When they grow up, this bathroom stays cool enough for teenagers and always fun for guests.

Custom Design & ConstructionThis project is a whole home remodel that is being completed in 2 phases. The first phase included this bathroom remodel. The whole home will maintain the Mid Century styling. The cabinets are stained in Alder Wood. The countertop is Ceasarstone in Pure White. The shower features Kohler Purist Fixtures in Vibrant Modern Brushed Gold finish. The flooring is Large Hexagon Tile from Dal Tile. The decorative tile is Wayfair “Illica” ceramic. The lighting is Mid-Century pendent lights. The vanity is custom made with traditional mid-century tapered legs. The next phase of the project will be added once it is completed.

Corsini Stark ArchitectsThe corner lot at the base of San Jacinto Mountain in the Vista Las Palmas tract in Palm Springs included an altered mid-century residence originally designed by Charles Dubois with a simple, gabled roof originally in the ‘Atomic Ranch’ style and sweeping mountain views to the west and south. The new owners wanted a comprehensive, contemporary, and visually connected redo of both interior and exterior spaces within the property. The project buildout included approximately 600 SF of new interior space including a new freestanding pool pavilion at the southeast corner of the property which anchors the new rear yard pool space and provides needed covered exterior space on the site during the typical hot desert days. Fireclay TileThis bathroom's statement-making floor tile beautifully bridges the gap between midcentury and modern style.
Bay Area Home DesignMoorish styled bathroom features hand-painted tiles from Spain, custom cabinets with custom doors, and hand-painted mirror. The alcove for the bathtub was built to form a niche with an arched top and the border thick enough to feature stone mosaic tiles. The window frame was cut to follow the same arch contour as the one above the tub. The two symmetrical cabinets resting on the counter create a separate “vanity space.
BDesignThis master bath was completely remodeled taken down to the studs. Originally it had a linen closet, jetted built-in tub and small shower. Now, it's an open spa-like, tranquil retreat. The shower is double the previous size and has a walk-in feature. The tub is a stand alone soaking tub. The vanity was purchased from an antique store and then turned into a vanity. It is a combination of contemporary meets classic with the floor to ceiling marble and the chandelier above the bathtub even the fixtures have a classic yet contemporary line.
