"Sophie Bates Architects and Zoe Defert Architects have recently completed a refurbishment and extension across four floors of living to a Regency-style house, adding 125sqm to the family home. The collaborative approach of the team, as noted below, was key to the success of the design.
The generous basement houses fantastic family spaces - a playroom, media room, guest room, gym and steam room that have been bought to life through crisp, contemporary detailing and creative use of light. The quality of basement design and overall site detailing was vital to the realisation of the concept on site. Linear lighting to floors and ceiling guides you past the media room through to the lower basement, which is lit by a 10m long frameless roof light.
The ground and upper floors house open plan kitchen and living spaces with views of the garden and bedrooms and bathrooms above. At the top of the house is a loft bedroom and bathroom, completing the five bedroom house. All joinery to the home
was designed and detailed by the architects. A careful, considered approach to detailing throughout creates a subtle interplay between light, material contrast and space."

Vintage CellarsNestled up to an equally stunning home bar is this one of a kind glass front custom wine cellar / wine room in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. This trendy wine cellar is sleek with black wine racking, matching the black coated stainless steel frames in the glass front.
Poplar wood was utilized for these wine racks, only to be finished with a modern / contemporary touch of staining them completely midnight black. This wine room screams luxury with its clean lines and hybrid style utilizing metal, glass and wood in varying colors and styles.
Designed , built, and installed by Vintage Cellars, this wine cellar keeps your interest with many styles of display and storage. Along the top, individual bottle storage is perfect for those longer termed holdings. Directly below showcases two tiered coved trays, perfect for putting those prized bottles front and center.
Directly underneath is a high reveal display row, keeping bottles angled properly to ensure wet corks for graceful aging. One level lower yet again leaves space for original wood cases. The jet black wine racking contrasts beautifully against the sprawling natural wood flooring.
Space was left inside this mid-sized wine vault / wine room / wine cellar to make room for a entertaining table - perfect for opening and decanting your favorite bottles with friends. Even with the comfortable spaciousness designed into this wine cellar, it still holds 800+ bottles easily.
Vintage Cellars worked with Noe Design Co on this project. They did a fantastic job with the custom stainless steel framing, door, and glasswork.. A beautiful consistency was kept with the dark metal and wine racks. The combination of white and grey marble in the home bar / custom bar, the utilization of mirrors, subdued grey wall coverings, and sleek black furniture, metal, and wood all showcase elegance at its finest.
The cooling system in this wine cellar / wine room / wine vault / wine closet / wine wall / glass wine cellar / glass wine room / glass wine vault / glass wine closet / glass wine wall / modern wine room / modern wine cellar / modern wine vault is ducted in to the ceiling to maintain a cool, calm, and quiet environment. Visbeen ArchitectsThe Cicero is a modern styled home for today’s contemporary lifestyle. It features sweeping facades with deep overhangs, tall windows, and grand outdoor patio. The contemporary lifestyle is reinforced through a visually connected array of communal spaces. The kitchen features a symmetrical plan with large island and is connected to the dining room through a wide opening flanked by custom cabinetry. Adjacent to the kitchen, the living and sitting rooms are connected to one another by a see-through fireplace. The communal nature of this plan is reinforced downstairs with a lavish wet-bar and roomy living space, perfect for entertaining guests. Lastly, with vaulted ceilings and grand vistas, the master suite serves as a cozy retreat from today’s busy lifestyle.

Vinomagna Wine Cellars'Being recognised by the client as pioneers of the importance in understanding proper climate control" gave me a thrilling sense of delivery - Craig Ellis.
Being hand selected by one of the industries true wine professionals, a 'sommelier', to deliver this double sided custom restaurant wine display was an honour.
Delivered within twelve weeks, the display now calls one of London's most exquisite Japanese teppanyaki restaurants "Onodera" it's home.
Angelo had a clear vision for his style of custom wine cellar display. He wanted to best store, handle and also give his wine presentations from one stylish display.
The partnership synergy with Angelo's expertise in addition to passion in handling wine, allowed a smooth, harmonious design experience. The Custom Restaurant Wine Display stands at 3.5m wide by 2.5m high and has two internally built in separate climate controlled zones.
It has two separate custom cooling systems built within. A cooler side of 5c for white wine and also champagne and the right side at 14c for red wine. The double glazed doors have been with fitted with rubber gaskets, a slim profile frame and completed with recessed sprayed Matt black hinges.
On view from the seated dining areas of the restaurant, in the heart of Onodera. Note; the rear glazed viewing panels display the identical internal accessible bottle layouts from the back of this wine display. The shadow gap aligned panels are fully removable for servicing access and fitted with concealed fixings.
The Led lighting selection incorporates waterproof 2700k spectrum warm white light spots in addition to strips. Lighting zones controlled by wireless dimmable wall mounted keypad controllers allow for simple control.
This custom restaurant wine display is built in a toughened grade matt sprayed timber. It is also a perfect example of a freestanding structure that can be secured floor to ceiling. This maintains the structural integrity, without the use of a heavy gauge steel structure.
Every detail in the design considers aesthetic characteristics and also daily service use of this custom restaurant wine display.
Stalburg DesignWhat makes a smaller space shine? In this Butler’s Pantry, our gorgeous dark shaker cabinets frame the view. Wallpaper with texture and a picture light play off the dramatic hardware to give some glam. And the paneled undercounter wine fridge is calling us to come and pour a perfect red!
Ridgecrest DesignsThe wine niche in the dining room, made custom by Ridgecrest Designs, is surrounded by a raw iron frame. The niche, clad with reclaimed wood, stores up to 54 bottles on the wall-mounted racks.

Located directly off of the dining room, this modern wine cellar blends style and utility, incorporating features such as triple deep wine racking with glass, stone, wood, and stainless steel. A contemporary look melding perfectly with this more traditional style home.
Design Build team at Vintage Cellars was also commissioned to create a unique and stylish wooden backing, to ensure that the metal wine pegs really popped.
Custom walnut stain was placed on Alder wood paneling, custom fit with metal wine rack pegs from floor to ceiling.
We worked directly with Noe Design Co to create a one of a kind entrance into this cellar. The highest quality stainless steel framing and double pane thermally insulated glass were placed on the front wall to not only maintain a beautiful look, but to also ensure that this wine room kept a perfect 55 degree temperature with constant relative humidity. Wine Cellar Builder Vintage Cellars are true pros when it comes to proper wine storage. Long term wine storage was a must for this client.
This small wine cellar / glass wine cellar / small wine room has a ducted cooling system - utilizing a Wine Guardian placed into the ceiling. A total of 324 bottles was achieved by maximizing the wall space with triple deep metal wine racks.
