This stunning Art Deco Kitchen was a labor of love and vision for our creative homeowners who were ready to update their kitchen of 30+ years. By removing the peninsula island and creating space for a seated banquette, we were able to custom design and a curved mahogany island and curved bench to offset the straight dramatic dark lines of the main kitchen. With gold metallic tile and the new Litze Faucet in split finish of gold and black, we think drama in the kitchen looks fabulous indeed!

A small and dysfunctional kitchen was transformed in three luxury zones - cook, social, and relax. The brief was "not a white kitchen" and we delivered - a black kitchen with feature rose gold metallic trims. A wall was removed, a door was closed up, he original kitchen was entirely removed and the floor plan changed dramatically. This luxurious kitchen features dual ovens - in black and rose gold from SMEG - two dishwashers, 3m wide integrated cabinetry with two bi-fold door tea/coffee stations and appliance centres - with stone countertops inside the cupboards. The cook top area has a dramatic rose gold metal splashback with strip lit niche below the integrated rangehood. Another wall is entirely Sierra Leone stone, same as the counter tops.

A sizable extension was added to the back of this familly home creating a large kitchen, dining zone for the family to enjoy and grow with. Heavily textured slab style units in a black-gold-slate effect finish were selected taking full advantage of the natural light available from the wall to wall glass at the end of the extension. A brilliant white quartz worktop with a subtle vein contrast beautifully with the kitchen units. A full compliment of integrated appliances, ovens and venting induction hob with plenty of storage including a cocktail unit with pocket doors, perfect for entertaining.

This is a traditional kitchen, yet the materials make it extraordinary: mosaics of natural seashell in a herringbone motif have been applied into the inside of the rich walnut cabinetry, creating a luminescent texture to the upper level areas. Beyond the rich walnut, the oven section and the custom hood accents are finished in a soft metallic gold lacquer. For the work tops, leathered quartzite creates a light but rich surface that begs to be touched. Metallic bronze glazed subway tile, grouted with glittering silica creates a dramatic backsplash that challenges the definition of traditional design. On the cabinetry, custom bronze hardware by Edgar Berebi is inset with hundreds of Swarovski crystals, producing an opulent layer of detail that feels like jewelry. The designer reorganized the kitchen’s perimeter by closing off a door to the dining room, which now functions as Andrea’s office. She also removed the wall and cabinets separating the kitchen from the living room, significantly changing the feel of the space. A large, black-base island features a seamless white quartz top and waterfall edges, a visual contrast to the black counters and white cabinets along the perimeter. Gold hardware and fixtures pop against the background, with a few copper accents mixed in. Andrea knew she’d go this direction when she walked through Wilson Lighting and saw the pendants that reminded her of Christmas.
