Kelly Scanlon Interior DesignAn otherwise unremarkable lower level is now a layered, multifunctional room including a place to play, watch, sleep, and drink. Our client didn’t want light, bright, airy grey and white - PASS! She wanted established, lived-in, stories to tell, more to make, and endless interest. So we put in true French Oak planks stained in a tobacco tone, dressed the walls in gold rivets and black hemp paper, and filled them with vintage art and lighting. We added a bar, sleeper sofa of dreams, and wrapped a drink ledge around the room so players can easily free up their hands to line up their next shot or elbow bump a teammate for encouragement! Soapstone, aged brass, blackened steel, antiqued mirrors, distressed woods and vintage inspired textiles are all at home in this story - GAME ON!
Check out the laundry details as well. The beloved house cats claimed the entire corner of cabinetry for the ultimate maze (and clever litter box concealment).

Melissa Sakell, CKBDThis newly completed custom home project was all about clean lines, symmetry and to keep the home feeling sleek and contemporary but warm and welcoming at the same time. This basement bar is simple and classic, with a touch of fun. The dark matte stain on the custom cabinets makes you stop and stay a while while the glasses sparkling in the glass cabinetry and the lights hitting the iridescent backsplash help draw your eyes throughout the space.

Visbeen ArchitectsThe Parkgate was designed from the inside out to give homage to the past. It has a welcoming wraparound front porch and, much like its ancestors, a surprising grandeur from floor to floor. The stair opens to a spectacular window with flanking bookcases, making the family space as special as the public areas of the home. The formal living room is separated from the family space, yet reconnected with a unique screened porch ideal for entertaining. The large kitchen, with its built-in curved booth and large dining area to the front of the home, is also ideal for entertaining. The back hall entry is perfect for a large family, with big closets, locker areas, laundry home management room, bath and back stair. The home has a large master suite and two children's rooms on the second floor, with an uncommon third floor boasting two more wonderful bedrooms. The lower level is every family’s dream, boasting a large game room, guest suite, family room and gymnasium with 14-foot ceiling. The main stair is split to give further separation between formal and informal living. The kitchen dining area flanks the foyer, giving it a more traditional feel. Upon entering the home, visitors can see the welcoming kitchen beyond.

Denise Quade DesignWalnut countertops were used at bar height and feature a curved bar rail on the sitting edge. Back lit onyx was inlaid into the wood frame for a stunning display.
TRUE TO FORM DESIGNThis is the ultimate In-Home Lounge for chilling out in impressive style. The look is 'Current' utilizing our hi-tech shop machinery to mill the white satin painted wavy relief panels in 2 different scales. I wanted to create an upbeat atmosphere with the well balanced pattern mixed with Espresso stained Rift Cut Oak and polished glass. The peninsula bar houses extra storage as well as the Led lite hip-wall for the seating. Two TV's to give a "Night out" feel for good energy but not overpowering in size. For projects of this caliber Perlick stainless beer dispenser and appliances was the natural choice accented by a Kohler trough sink and Contemporary faucet. For added convenience there are 2 interior liquor drawers to replenish inventory. To help frame the space some paneling with subtle relief and up-lite LED display shelves. The bar stools where meant to be simple and as transparent as possible to not clutter the design.
Nicole Arnold InteriorsPurchased as a fixer-upper, this 1998 home underwent significant aesthetic updates to modernize its amazing bones. The interior had to live up to the coveted 1/2 acre wooded lot that sprawls with landscaping and amenities. In addition to the typical paint, tile, and lighting updates, the kitchen was completely reworked to lighten and brighten an otherwise dark room. The staircase was reinvented to boast an iron railing and updated designer carpeting. Traditionally planned rooms were reimagined to suit the needs of the family, i.e. the dining room is actually located in the intended living room space and the piano room Is in the intended dining room area. The live edge table is the couple’s main brag as they entertain and feature their vast wine collection while admiring the beautiful outdoors. Now, each room feels like “home” to this family.
