This is the ultimate retirement home for this couple. With a 360 degree view they have every thing! They wanted it to express sustainability, water conservation and good looks. This garden features several dry stream beds, raised corrugated steel grow boxes, fire pit, pergola, three different path way materials, patio and many water wise perennials, ornamental grass and ground covers.
The wind is always blowing their ornamental grasses!

Farbkonzert: Die opulente Herbstfärbung der hier noch jungen Amberbäume und die warme, indirekte Beleuchtung sowie der farblich variabel beleuchtbare Pool bieten an Herbstabenden ein opulentes Farbenspiel.

The stunning tree, Agonis flexuosa 'Jervis Bay Afterdark' (Peppermint Tree) has beautiful dark purple/black weeping foliage. Besides being gorgeous, this Australian native can also withstand the often strong winds, why I chose it for this coastal, windy, Sausalito, CA residence. A grouping of three were planted in a leveled area below the deck along with Euphorbia myrsinites, Yarrow and New Zealand Wind Grass. The modern wood fence obstructs views to utility equipment.

A paver patio with a fire pit and arbor were installed in the back yard up a hill. There are boulder walls and boulder seating. A pond less waterfall provides tranquility and screens noises form the neighborhood.
FormLA Landscaping
The meadow maintains its lush, green aesthetic through summer. It uses less than 20 percent of the water needed by a traditional lawn, even in high heat and drought. It's shape evolves as Deer Grass mounds fill with golden wands.
