Stonepocket Unique LandscapesLandscape by Stonepocket located in Minnetonka, Minnesota Creating a elegant landscape to blend with a home with such character and charm was a challenge in controlled resistant. Did not want the landscape to overwhelm the home, nor did I want a typical landscape for this style that usually involves a box hedge. Utilizing light in the front to create a perennial garden give the home a sense of place. Keep the planting mostly to whites and greens in the back unifies the space.

Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignAPLD 2021 Silver Award Winning Landscape Design. An expansive back yard landscape with several mature oak trees and a stunning Golden Locust tree has been transformed into a welcoming outdoor retreat. The renovations include a wraparound deck, an expansive travertine natural stone patio, stairways and pathways along with concrete retaining walls and column accents with dramatic planters. The pathways meander throughout the landscape... some with travertine stepping stones and gravel and those below the majestic oaks left natural with fallen leaves. Raised vegetable beds and fruit trees occupy some of the sunniest areas of the landscape. A variety of low-water and low-maintenance plants for both sunny and shady areas include several succulents, grasses, CA natives and other site-appropriate Mediterranean plants complimented by a variety of boulders. Miriam's River House Designs, LLCThis photo shows the Sun/Moon Garden design. The standing reclaimed barn stones represent the eight planets in their orbit around the sun. The circular orbits are suggested through the use of plant material. The day and night color theme seasonally ripples throughout the entire design. There are specific site lines embedded in the design for metaphysical reasons.

Manuka GardensOur Deakin project’s oversized yellow feature pot has been the talk of the town. Our design brief was to create a Palm Springs inspired, low maintenance garden to compliment their mid-century modern influenced renovation. The addition of the yellow pot was the request of our clients and as you can see it’s a stunning focal point for their front garden.
Yorkshire GardensThe front garden is the first thing visitors see, and even a small garden can make a lasting first impression. When landscaping this garden we designed a fairly simple layout, but we used sweeping lines and circular flower beds to achieve a more interesting space. As there is no lawn this garden is fairly low maintenance and remains looking neat all year round.
The curving flower beds step down to the main focal point, a collection of circular flower beds surrounded by stone blocks. The flower beds are filled with a selection of colourful flowers in soft pinks and vivid reds. Beautiful dry stone walls create the retaining walls of the flower beds and add a hint of rustic charm, while the simplicity of the space helps it to look contemporary.
A lattice fence surrounds the perimeter and adds privacy without obstructing light into the garden. Along with the stunning flower beds there is a sizable drive along allowing this to be a practical yet stylish garden. This bold front garden certainly adds kerb appeal to this property.
