An awkward shaped space got a face lift with custom built ins and a custom bed filled with hidden storage, creating a charming little boys bedroom that can be grown into over many years. The bed and the built ins are painted in Benjamin Moore Twilight. The copper pulls, ladder and chandelier were custom made out of hardware store pipes and The ceiling over the bed was painted in Benjamin Moore Hale Navy and is filled with silver stars. The boy's room in this single family home includes boyish striped bedding that appeals to multiple ages, and incorporates a vintage feel with the artwork, accent pillow, clock and lamp. The showstopper in this room is the chalkboard paint, swathed between two squared white trim pieces, which we further enhanced by drawing a dotted line implying that the car was in fact driving around the room. Part of our award-winning model home design in Winslow, New Jersey.

The family living in this shingled roofed home on the Peninsula loves color and pattern. At the heart of the two-story house, we created a library with high gloss lapis blue walls. The tête-à-tête provides an inviting place for the couple to read while their children play games at the antique card table. As a counterpoint, the open planned family, dining room, and kitchen have white walls. We selected a deep aubergine for the kitchen cabinetry. In the tranquil master suite, we layered celadon and sky blue while the daughters' room features pink, purple, and citrine.

Aviation inspired barn doors serve as closet doors opposite the bunk beds and window wall. Textural vinyl wallcovering adds easy to clean interest to the space.

This boys bedroom decor was inspired by the framed Union Jack flag, which also has sentimental value as the boy was born in London, UK. We chose to paint the room entirely in Benjamin Moore's flint, including ceiling and trim. The room is small but with the slanted ceilings and contrary to myth, the dark colour doesn't make this room feel smaller. We popped with red and green accents and used many of the boys items as accessories when styling.
