We designed a custom asymmetrical headboard that hung off the wall and extended to the encapsulate the width of the room. We selected three silk bamboo rugs of complimenting colors to overlap and surround the bed. This theme of layering: simple, monochromatic whites and creams makes its way around the room and draws attention to the warmth and woom at the floor and ceilings.

Adding dark green paint to the walls allowed all of the items in the space to pop, adding eye-catching interest and tons of style. A well rounded balnce is achieved by leaving the window moulding white and adding the warm wood tones of the midcentiry storage piece and dresser.

Ample storage was created and bulky awkward furniture was removed, which increased the feeling of spaciousness in this compact bedroom, with a low ceiling. A mattress was made for the daybed and colourful cushions were made. The blind colour reflects the colour of the bed, tying the accent colours together.
