At once intimate and soothing, the spa-like master bath allows for separate bathing and showering options. LED accent lighting runs the entire length of the wall niche and under the floating slab bench. The soaking tub from Hydrosystems is made of a volcanic composite blend and is finished in matte black. This light and bright bathroom was transformed from it's previously dated state. An awkward jacuzzi tub and a glass block wall were removed and 80s era tile was replaced with Carrara mosaic on the floor and Carrara stone in the shower. A large opaque window brings in light but allows privacy.

This was a really fun project. We used soothing blues, grays and greens to transform this outdated bathroom. The shower was moved from the center of the bath and visible from the primary bedroom over to the side which was the preferred location of the client. We moved the tub as well. The stone for the countertop is natural and stunning and serves as a waterfall on either end of the floating cabinets as well as into the shower. We also used it for the shower seat as a waterfall into the shower from the tub and tub deck. The shower tile was subdued to allow the naturalstone be the star of the show. We were thoughtful with the placement of the knobs in the shower so that the client can turn the water on and off without getting wet in the process. The beautiful tones of the blues, grays, and greens reads modern without being cold.

This Ensuite bath is a tribute to clean design with a touch of whimsy. The tub was removed and replaced with a large shower stall measuring 4’ X 5.5’ This shower stall has four different shower systems , a curved bench seat, and a shampoo/soap shelf. The stunning custom mosaic wall depicting an underwater dive scene invites the clients to recall their favourite diving trips. Mosaic wall tiles surround the room; the height of these tiles is determined by the height requirement of the wall-hung toilet. This creates a continuous ‘envelope’ for the room. A surface mounted ‘trough’ sink sits on suspended walnut cabinets. There are drawers on each side and a demi-tall storage cabinet serves as a medicine cabinet with a tilt-out laundry hamper below. A modesty film is installed on the lower part of the windows instead of using window treatments.
