A serene colour palette with shades of Dulux Bruin Spice and Nood Co peach concrete adds warmth to a south-facing bathroom, complemented by dramatic white floor-to-ceiling shower curtains. Finishes of handmade clay herringbone tiles, raw rendered walls and marbled surfaces adds texture to the bathroom renovation.

Go bold or go home! We often find that people are afraid to commit to a bold color...even where paint is concerned. Not this time! We suggested a KAPOW of orange glass tile as the accent, and now we can't imagine this room without it! We gutted the standard, apartment style tub with the directive - "the bigger the better" for the new shower. And isn't the marble tile just gorgeous!!!! Well it's actually a porcelain - so no sealing required and no worries of etching the surface. I used to be such a snob about using "faux" materials, but many companies have really upped their game in this department, and the maintenance (or lack thereof) and the cost just can't be beat. The under-mounted tub with a tiled skirt and quartz top separated by clear glass creates a spacious walk in curbless shower complimented by body sprays and shower wand for functionality. Recessed niches add to the storage as well as provide a decorative element. A custom sandstone tile layout brings the finishes together and provides a dramatic accent wall upon entry. © Jeffrey Totaro, photographer

A tiled linear drain allows for a curbless walk-in shower, that maximizes the space plan. Custom "low-iron" glass with a recessed ceiling channel separates the shower and tub while keeping the visual continuity. © Jeffrey Totaro, photographer
