The client’s original bathroom was tidy but needed an upgrade and, “a spa like retreat,” were the words they used to describe their dream bathroom. The starting point -- striking floor to ceiling marble tile in clean white with charcoal accents. The marble adorns the shower floors, sides and ceiling as well as the main bathroom floor, tub surround and step. A full height contrasting charcoal glass backsplash behind the vanity and mirror adds depth and class to this spacious sanctuary, plus it’s smooth, glossy finish is as strong as any natural stone and is resistant to scratches. The shower boasts a convenient built in shower locker, an easy slide adjustable shower head, sleek and modern stainless steel linear floor drains and a frameless glass shower door for a seamless finish. The vanity is complete with his and hers sinks, new modern fixtures and the finishing touch, a dual flush energy efficient toilet.

The master bathroom takes its cue from the adjacent master bedroom that is furnished with the clients original rosewood furniture. The vanity was created from a similar tone wood and to keep the bathroom from feeling too dark, we chose a creamy marble tile for the floor with a coordinating solid surface countertop. The glass tile on the backsplash and shower walls brings the light and dark tones together.

2011 Contractor of the Year Award Winner - Residential Bath $30,000 to $60,000 Multiple Kohler body sprays, shower head, and hand held shower head were installed, too. 1/2" Glass and marble mosaic fill the new contemporary shower. The border on the floor mimics these walls. Small, linear , textured porcelain tile was used on the floor to prevent slipping. Large porcelain tile was installed on the diagonal to make the space look larger and to follow the angled entry of the shower. Clear glass shower walls puts the beautiful mosaic walls on display. A new tall storage cabinet in the same Thermofoil as the vanity is where the original shower was located. Silver laminate details were added above the cabinets. Additional recessed lighting was added to increase visibility and make the space feel even larger. A new contemporary toilet is in a relocated spot next to the shower.

This completely custom bathroom is entirely covered in glass mosaic tiles! Except for the ceiling, we custom designed a glass mosaic hybrid from glossy glass tiles, ocean style bottle glass tiles, and mirrored tiles. This client had dreams of a Caribbean escape in their very own en suite, and we made their dreams come true! The top of the walls start with the deep blues of the ocean and then flow into teals and turquoises, light blues, and finally into the sandy colored floor. We can custom design and make anything you can dream of, including gradient blends of any color, like this one!

The existing large but badly designed bath was redesigned into a full bath with walk-in shower. The new, much more efficient, layout allowed for a separate walk-in storage closet next door. The walls were sheathed in large blue glass tiles and blue/white marble floors from Ann Sacks Tile.
