While the layout stayed the same, we were able to bring more storage into the space with a new vanity cabinet, and a medicine cabinet mirror. We removed the shower and surround and placed a more modern tub with a glass shower door to make the space more open.
The mosaic green tile was what inspired the feel of the whole room, complementing the soft brown and tan tiles. The green accent is found throughout the room including the wall paint, accessories, and even the countertop.

Varying tones of white create an expansive look without sacrificing visual interest, and Feng Shui concepts guided the placement of fixtures so that the space feels open and serene. De Meza + ArchitectureThe David Hockney 1978 art piece Swimming Pool with Reflection inspired this California-cool bathroom. Watery-blue glass mosaic tile spills down the shower wall and out onto the concrete-gray tile floor in puddles. The custom back-painted glass vanity floats on the blue walls and is anchored by a chrome Kohler faucet, adding a modern sophistication to this fun space perfect for a young boy.

Large format white marble carries throughout the remainder creating a clean surrounding space. Shooting from floor to ceiling on all walls is a smooth and glossy palette of bright white Glass Tile set in a 3x6 running bond.
Thick slabs of Thassos marble accent a variety of surfaces throughout the bath including the tub deck, vanities and exterior shower walls.
