The bathroom is quite tight but we were able to get a spacious shower tucked away with an awesome capri-blue vanity with long niche in the center. The clients hung a mirror behind the vanity which completed the space and they chose some really fun tiles that compliment the blues and brass accents.

The need for a complete renovation of this 1960s family bathroom allowed an opportunity to create a timeless space in classic blue and white, rich in patterns and textures, with touches of timber and leather. Mid-Century Modern Master Bath renovation with bold blue patterned floor tile sets the stage for a mix of warm natural walnut custom frameless cabinets counterpointed by sleek and textural white shower tile and black & gold accent fixtures and a bright white oval shaped freestanding soaking tub.
Centric Spaces
Before our pre-build consultation, our clients were unsure about their existing bathroom layout. Reno Sketch created a 3D model to help them visualise the space. The model was used to test out layout options & finish applications which ultimately resulted in quick decision making & confidence in choices.
A simple design with ample storage is easy to maintain and keep tidy. Concealed ambient lighting below the vanity and within the wall niches turns on via a sensor and also has the flexibility to be kept on at night for guests & children. Subtle blue toned terrazzo flooring returns up the wall to create a dado line and contrasts with the natural timber joinery and larger format matt white wall tiles.
The timber, terrazzo finish and gun metal fixtures create a classic design with a nod to mid-century details.

A mix of blue and white patterns make this a fresh and fun hall bathroom for the family's children.

The new master bath consists of a dressing room and bathroom entirely built on the existing roof. A very high ceiling, a line of white closets on one wall, and a floor-to-ceiling mirror at the back expands this narrow space to infinity. An oversized skylight straddles both the dressing room and the bathroom. As one follows the natural light to enter the bathroom, one’s attention is immediately captured by the L-shaped mirror framing the large window with another sort of infinity view outside. All the walls are solidly clad with white Carrara marble with pale grey veins that are complemented by the matte grey floor tiles. Bax+Towner photography

After: We ending up taking the tile all the way to the ceiling and on the ceiling to finish it off.
We added some ambient lighting by back lighting the mirror and adding toekick lighting on a timer.
