Amy Carman DesignIn the vintage bath and attached private sauna, the tile floor is emblazoned with a mosaic logo designed by Amy Carman Design. The logo became the branded trademark of the property, and is stamped on a variety of objects, flags and markers.
BathroomsbyDesignHere’s a recent bathroom project we helped design and supply for a client which we’ve fallen in love with. Three bathrooms in a beautiful family home in Battersea, London, our design consultant took little time in delivering bathroom designs which cater to the whole family.
With a kid’s bathroom, master ensuite and shower room part of the project, the master ensuite clearly displays a combination of elegance, space, and practicality. The stunning Clearwater freestanding bathtub sits directly opposite the entrance to this bathroom, with a wonderful walk-in shower to it’s left with the luxurious European Tiles Classic Statuario tiles creating a standout feature wall. With wall hung features such as the StoneKAST Uni WC and Faeber basin and units adding practicality and maximising floor space in this room, the master ensuite is the standout room in this project.
The kid’s bathroom has the practicality of a bath shower combination with the Bette Ocean inset bathtub incorporating a bath panel and shower fixtures, whilst the soft hue of the Apavisa Encaustic 2.0 floor tiles along with the white fixtures in this room add to the overall subtleness of this bathroom.

Amy Shirlaw InteriorsA small but fully equipped bathroom with a warm, bluish green on the walls and ceiling. Geometric tile patterns are balanced out with plants and pale wood to keep a natural feel in the space.
Joy Martin ArchitectureRenovation of a classic Minneapolis bungalow included this family bathroom. An adjacent closet was converted to a walk-in glass shower and small sinks allowed room for two vanities. The mirrored wall and simple palette helps make the room feel larger. Playful accents like cow head towel hooks from CB2 and custom children's step stools add interest and function to this bathroom. The hexagon floor tile was selected to be in keeping with the original 1920's era of the home.
This bathroom used to be tiny and was the only bathroom on the 2nd floor. We chose to spend the budget on making a very functional family bathroom now and add a master bathroom when the children get bigger. Maeser Master ServicesOne of the focal points of this gorgeous bathroom is the sink. It is a wall-mounted glass console top from Signature Hardware and includes a towel bar. On the sink is mounted a single handle Delta Ashlyn faucet with a chrome finish. Above the sink is a plain-edged mirror and a 3-light vanity light.
The shower has a 12" x12" faux marble tile from floor to ceiling and in an offset pattern with a 4" glass mosaic feature strip and a recessed niche with shelf for storage. Shower floor matches the shower wall tile and is 2" x 2". Delta 1700 series faucet in chrome. The shower has a heavy frameless half wall panel.
Bathroom floor is a true Carrara marble basket weave floor tile with wood primed baseboard.
Toilet is Mansfield comfort-height elongated in white with 2 custom made glass shelves above.

Life Design London ltdWe transformed what was a hallway, windowless utility room and tiny, grotty and very dated blue bathroom into this modern, industrial light filled beauty.
Monochrome and graphic lines were the start point here. But plenty of arches, curves and organic shapes balance the scheme out perfectly.
The ceiling was taken up into the existing roof to include a large velux window which means this room is always bright. The laundry is tucked away behind aluminium roller shutter doors and laundry is hung on the ceiling mounted drying rack, with freh air aplenty from the velux which opens right out.
Large format grey cement effect floor tiles are juxtaposed with the sweet pastel pink walls and lighter creamy pink ceiling.
The extractor is housed in the industrial style ducting and the black accessories throughout further lend to the industrial aesthetic.

However, if you’ve dreamt of a roll-top bath or a walk-in shower with heating at, then you might want to take longer looking for each item individually. Choosing all white elements will obviously tie everything together, but also think about the style you’re going for – ultra modern taps will clash with traditional Victorian-style wash basins. And it’s probably good to consider your flooring or surfaces, and walls to make sure everything will complement. Selecting bathroom decor such as cabinets, mirrors, shelves or other furniture for bathrooms can be tricky. You want to consider the storage they offer while also making sure they make an attractive feature as you enter your bathroom. Don’t forget you need them to be durable and withstand the damp conditions, e.g. if you’re going for a painted cabinet make sure the paint is suitable for baths. After you’ve made sure your light fittings are safe and to-code, you can consider the type and style you’d like as your working through your bathroom ideas. The great thing is that both floor tiles and wall tiles come in a huge variety of sizes, styles, colours and patterns, so you can remodel your room completely with whatever tile choices fit with your bathroom ideas. When it comes to flooring, tiles will be durable, easy to clean and deal well with water, but if you want something different you could go with modern concrete, traditional or country-style treated wooden floorboards, or a bit more quirky bamboo, cork or vinyl. You could choose pale colours and iridescent tiles that reflect the light, keep walls and ceilings the same colour and texture, and use complementary shades throughout the bathroom– fewer contrasts and transitions will help maintain the sense of space.
