Lara Hontzias Interior DesignThis home was a total renovation overhaul! I started working with this wonderful family a couple of years ago on the exterior and it grew from there! Exterior, full main floor, full upper floor and bonus room all renovated by the time we were done. The addition of wood beams, hardwood flooring and brick bring depth and warmth to the house. We added a lot of different lighting throughout the house. Lighting for art, accent and task lighting - there is no shortage now. Herringbone and diagonal tile bring character along with varied finishes throughout the house. We played with different light fixtures, metals and textures and we believe the result is truly amazing! HomeSource BuildersThe resident of this 1904 classic Montford home has owned it for more than 30 years. Behind the walls and under the floors of the kitchen and bathroom were a myriad problem areas that needed attention. Hanging new cabinets on walls and from ceilings that may have been plumb a hundred years ago is par for the course. Our project manager even fabricated a special switch plate from wood that was required for an awkward spot in the bathroom. LED can lights and hand-blown glass pendants brighten the kitchen. Intricate tile work and massive glass sliding shower doors bring the bathroom up to date.
Provanti Designs, IncThis 1974 kids’ bath had no natural light, little storage and was cramped with a layout in the typical of the 1970’s. It was definitely time for an update; one that included expanding the space. Adding 5’ to the width, gave enough room for the shower and tub to be separated, a water closet that also included a floor-to-ceiling linen closet and an extra-long vanity with double sinks that included increased storage drawers. The use of dimensional tile adds whimsy and interest to this kids’ bath.
