Hamilton Snowber ArchitectsDavid Reeve Architectural Photography; The Village of Chevy Chase is an eclectic mix of early-20th century homes, set within a heavily-treed romantic landscape. The Zantzinger Residence reflects the spirit of the period: it is a center-hall dwelling, but not quite symmetrical, and is covered with large-scale siding and heavy roof overhangs. The delicately-columned front porch sports a Chippendale railing.
The family needed to update the home to meet its needs: new gathering spaces, an enlarged kitchen, and a Master Bedroom suite. The solution includes a two story addition to one side, balancing an existing addition on the other. To the rear, a new one story addition with one continuous roof shelters an outdoor porch and the kitchen.
The kitchen itself is wrapped in glass on three sides, and is centered upon a counter-height table, used for both food preparation and eating. For daily living and entertaining, it has become an important center to the house.
N C RA remodeled master bathroom that now complements our clients' lifestyle. The main goal was to make the space more functional while also giving it a refreshing and updated look.
Our first action was to replace the vanity. We installed a brand new storage-centric vanity that stayed within the size of the previous one, wasting no additional space.
Additional features included custom mirrors perfectly fitted to their new vanity, elegant new sconce lighting, and a new mosaic tiled shower niche.

Blank and CablesHighlighting this Sonoma County estate’s natural textures and colors, this wood and steel spiral staircase with floating catwalk adds an open and airy lofted touch to this beautiful rustic space. Reclaimed wood accents throughout the home, a pivoting garage window to open the dining room to the outdoors, and custom light fixtures complete this home’s modern country feel.
Home ProThe entire room was set with marble tile from floor to ceiling. The shower has two shower areas, each with body sprays, one with shower head, and the second with a hand held shower. The ceiling and floor were tiled with mosaic. Matching mosaic was on the bench, and the back of the wall niche. Walls were black marble below, crema chair rail, and crema above the wainscotting..
Adeline Ray Design StudioMarble and Glass accessories were used to enhance the gorgeous Marble vanity area. Grey cabinets and walls set a relaxing background for the touches of Greens and Blues sprinkled about. Custom patterned sheers were made for the small window for privacy, yet still allowing the natural light to come in. Crisp White towels and luxurious candles and bath soaps are organized in the cabinet for the Guests to enjoy.
