Efficient use of the space has been ensured during the design phase for an ergonomic use. New white bathroom units are shining in the area, allowing a clean and smart look. The overflow of the floor tiles to the side of the bathtub looks refreshing. Chrome Samuel Heath tap-ware has added a beautiful touch to the space fitting beautifully with the white units. On a quiet street in Clifton a Georgian townhouse has undergone a stunning transformation. Inside, our designer Tim was tasked with creating three functional and inviting bathrooms. A key aspect of the brief was storage, as the bathrooms needed to stand up to every day family life whilst still maintaining the luxury aesthetic of the period property. The family bathroom cleverly conceals a boiler behind soft blue paneling while the shower is enclosed with an innovative frameless sliding screen allowing a large showering space without compromising the openness of the space. The ensuite bathroom with floating sink unit with built in storage and solid surface sink offers both practical storage and easy cleaning. On the top floor a guest shower room houses a generous shower with recessed open shelving and another practical floating vanity unit with integrated sink.

The clients wanted to create a visual impact whilst still ensuring the space was relaxed and useable. The project consisted of two bathrooms in a loft style conversion; a small en-suite wet room and a larger bathroom for guest use. We kept the look of both bathrooms consistent throughout by using the same tiles and fixtures. The overall feel is sensual due to the dark moody tones used whilst maintaining a functional space. This resulted in making the clients’ day-to-day routine more enjoyable as well as providing an ample space for guests.
Revival by Design
When we were asked by our clients to help fully overhaul this grade II listed property. We knew we needed to consider the spaces for modern day living and make it as open and light and airy as possible. There were a few specifics from our client, but on the whole we were left to the design the main brief being modern country with colour and pattern. There were some challenges along the way as the house is octagonal in shape and some rooms, especially the principal ensuite were quite a challenge.

This new build architectural gem required a sensitive approach to balance the strong modernist language with the personal, emotive feel desired by the clients.
Taking inspiration from the California MCM aesthetic, we added bold colour blocking, interesting textiles and patterns, and eclectic lighting to soften the glazing, crisp detailing and linear forms. With a focus on juxtaposition and contrast, we played with the ‘mix’; utilising a blend of new & vintage pieces, differing shapes & textures, and touches of whimsy for a lived in feel.

This beautiful principle suite is like a beautiful retreat from the world. Created to exaggerate a sense of calm and beauty. The tiles look like wood to give a sense of warmth, with the added detail of brass finishes. the bespoke vanity unity made from marble is the height of glamour. The large scale mirrored cabinets, open the space and reflect the light from the original victorian windows, with a view onto the pink blossom outside.

Set within a classic 3 story townhouse in Clifton is this stunning ensuite bath and steam room. The brief called for understated luxury, a space to start the day right or relax after a long day. The space drops down from the master bedroom and had a large chimney breast giving challenges and opportunities to our designer. The result speaks for itself, a truly luxurious space with every need considered. His and hers sinks with a book-matched marble slab backdrop act as a dramatic feature revealed as you come down the steps. The steam room with wrap around bench has a built in sound system for the ultimate in relaxation while the freestanding egg bath, surrounded by atmospheric recess lighting, offers a warming embrace at the end of a long day.

Within the thickness of the library's timber lining is contained deep entrances to connecting spaces. Shifts in floor surface occur at these thresholds, delineating a change in atmosphere and function. A lighter terrazzo is used against rich oak and white and forest green tiles in the family bathroom.
