Set within a classic 3 story townhouse in Clifton is this stunning ensuite bath and steam room. The brief called for understated luxury, a space to start the day right or relax after a long day. The space drops down from the master bedroom and had a large chimney breast giving challenges and opportunities to our designer. The result speaks for itself, a truly luxurious space with every need considered. His and hers sinks with a book-matched marble slab backdrop act as a dramatic feature revealed as you come down the steps. The steam room with wrap around bench has a built in sound system for the ultimate in relaxation while the freestanding egg bath, surrounded by atmospheric recess lighting, offers a warming embrace at the end of a long day.

This home was a complete gut, so it got a major face-lift in each room. In the powder and hall baths, we decided to try to make a huge impact in these smaller spaces, and so guests get a sense of "wow" when they need to wash up! Powder Bath: The freestanding sink basin is from Stone Forest, Harbor Basin with Carrara Marble and the console base is Palmer Industries Jamestown in satin brass with a glass shelf. The faucet is from Newport Brass and is their wall mount Jacobean in satin brass. With the small space, we installed the Toto Eco Supreme One-Piece round bowl, which was a huge floor space saver. Accessories are from the Newport Brass Aylesbury collection. Hall Bath: The vanity and floating shelves are from WW Woods Shiloh Cabinetry, Poplar wood with their Cadet stain which is a gorgeous blue-hued gray. Plumbing products - the faucet and shower fixtures - are from the Brizo Rook collection in chrome, with accessories to match. The commode is a Toto Drake II 2-piece. Toto was also used for the sink, which sits in a Caesarstone Pure White quartz countertop.

Feature In: Visit Miami Beach Magazine & Island Living A nice young couple contacted us from Brazil to decorate their newly acquired apartment. We schedule a meeting through Skype and from the very first moment we had a very good feeling this was going to be a nice project and people to work with. We exchanged some ideas, comments, images and we explained to them how we were used to worked with clients overseas and how important was to keep communication opened. They main concerned was to find a solution for a giant structure leaning column in the main room, as well as how to make the kitchen, dining and living room work together in one considerably small space with few dimensions. Whether it was a holiday home or a place to rent occasionally, the requirements were simple, Scandinavian style, accent colors and low investment, and so we did it. Once the proposal was signed, we got down to work and in two months the apartment was ready to welcome them with nice scented candles, flowers and delicious Mojitos from their spectacular view at the 41th floor of one of Miami's most modern and tallest building. Two bathroom renovation in the heart of the historic Roland Park area in Maryland. A complete refresh for the kid's bathroom with basketweave marble floors and traditional subway tile walls and wainscoting. Working in small spaces, the primary was extended to create a large shower with new Carrara polished marble walls and floors. Custom picture frame wainscoting to bring elegance to the space as a nod to its traditional design. Chrome finishes throughout both bathrooms for a clean, timeless look.

I designed deep storage/closet space across from the desk and handy to the bathroom. Notice the bathroom door is installed on "barn door" hardware and pockets into a slot adjacent to the closet. This functional design approach saves floor space, and I think it adds beauty and interest to the interior design detailing.
