This master bath was designed with custom window glass to match the door into the master suite and is surrounded by mirror to make the room feel even larger. heaters under the toe kick at each double sink adds comfort against the stone floor in the colder months. A partial glass enclosure allows for the door to open leaving a clear space to enter the shower. Grab bars and tub height were designed with safety in mind.

Kid's bathroom separates the "girl's" vanity from the "boys" via a deeper base and upper cabinet. Plenty of storage was incorporated in cream-colored millwork - accented by Butterfly Green granite counters and a checkerboard-patterned glass tile backsplash. Durable porcelain tiles were used on the floors.

Expansive custom cabinets keep toiletries, towels and other necessities discreetly tucked away. The larger mirror increased the sense of roominess and freedom of movement, adding to the couples' comfort and enjoyment of the room itself. Lighting fixtures were chosen to specifically illuminate the mirror space while adding warmth and comfort to the bathroom environment. We also added a fun mosaic tile floor for energy and color, in hues that unite the bathroom with the master suite. With all of the new color and spacious design elements, the transition was complete.

This 1950's split-level ranch house was completely renovated to meet the needs of a growing family. The central roof was raised to admit generous natural ambient light to the kitchen and living spaces. New metal windows were enlarged and repositioned to capture distant views. Interior finishes were replaced and the mechanical system revised to provide radiantly heated floors.
The project was undertaken while Jim was a partner with Richard Brown Architects, AIA, LLP.
