Jenni Leasia Interior DesignThe marble wall has a builtin shelves on both sides to hold soap and shampoo. The dark wall is a large format glass tile called Lucian from Ann Sacks. The color is Truffle.
Hagstrom BuilderThe shower includes dual shower areas, four body spray tiles (two on each side) and a large glass surround keeping the uncluttered theme for the room while still offering privacy with an etched “belly band” around the perimeter. The etching is only on the outside of the glass with the inside being kept smooth for cleaning purposes.
The end result is a bathroom that is luxurious and light, with nothing extraneous to distract the eye. The peaceful and quiet ambiance that the room exudes hit exactly the mark that the clients were looking for.
TVL Creative Ltd.This project was not only full of many bathrooms but also many different aesthetics. The goals were fourfold, create a new master suite, update the basement bath, add a new powder bath and my favorite, make them all completely different aesthetics.
Primary Bath-This was originally a small 60SF full bath sandwiched in between closets and walls of built-in cabinetry that blossomed into a 130SF, five-piece primary suite. This room was to be focused on a transitional aesthetic that would be adorned with Calcutta gold marble, gold fixtures and matte black geometric tile arrangements.
Powder Bath-A new addition to the home leans more on the traditional side of the transitional movement using moody blues and greens accented with brass. A fun play was the asymmetry of the 3-light sconce brings the aesthetic more to the modern side of transitional. My favorite element in the space, however, is the green, pink black and white deco tile on the floor whose colors are reflected in the details of the Australian wallpaper.
Hall Bath-Looking to touch on the home's 70's roots, we went for a mid-mod fresh update. Black Calcutta floors, linear-stacked porcelain tile, mixed woods and strong black and white accents. The green tile may be the star but the matte white ribbed tiles in the shower and behind the vanity are the true unsung heroes.

To create a more open and spacious layout, we expanded the room by 2 feet, shifted the door, and reconfigured the entire layout. Michael Nash Design, Build & HomesThe homeowners of this large single-family home in Fairfax Station suburb of Virginia, desired a remodel of their master bathroom. The homeowners selected an open concept for the master bathroom.
We relocated and enlarged the shower. The prior built-in tub was removed and replaced with a slip-free standing tub. The commode was moved the other side of the bathroom in its own space. The bathroom was enlarged by taking a few feet of space from an adjacent closet and bedroom to make room for two separate vanity spaces. The doorway was widened which required relocating ductwork and plumbing to accommodate the spacing. A new barn door is now the bathroom entrance. Each of the vanities are equipped with decorative mirrors and sconce lights. We removed a window for placement of the new shower which required new siding and framing to create a seamless exterior appearance. Elegant plank porcelain floors with embedded hexagonal marble inlay for shower floor and surrounding tub make this memorable transformation. The shower is equipped with multi-function shower fixtures, a hand shower and beautiful custom glass inlay on feature wall. A custom French-styled door shower enclosure completes this elegant shower area. The heated floors and heated towel warmers are among other new amenities.

The great thing is that both floor tiles and wall tiles come in a huge variety of sizes, styles, colours and patterns, so you can remodel your room completely with whatever tile choices fit with your bathroom ideas. When it comes to flooring, tiles will be durable, easy to clean and deal well with water, but if you want something different you could go with modern concrete, traditional or country-style treated wooden floorboards, or a bit more quirky bamboo, cork or vinyl.
