Leah Fitzpatrick of House + SoulThis hall bath needed a good bit of updating to feel current, however the refresh still needed to be in keeping with the home's historic features. So, I kept the existing vanity, which had been a piece of furniture, and raised it up to a more modern height and added a beautiful soapstone countertop. I also had the mirror wall painted a gorgeous off-black, and removed the former single vanity light in favor of two aged brass, black and crystal sconces. The entire tub area was gutted as well, and replaced with black and white tile walls and a porcelain tub with frameless French shower doors.

JTID Inc.The ensuite bathroom is substantial. It was formerly used as the master bathroom. As with the other baths we designed, it features a light wood vanity with soapstone countertops and porcelain slabs clad walls. A glass mosaic border runs the perimeter of the bathroom walls while gray ceramic til floors complete the design scheme. The drop-in tub was salvaged from the original bathroom.

Brian J. McGarry InteriorsHere we have coordinated the glass mosaic tile the client loved by finding and installing a great granite counter top in a similar finish. The client wished to keep the existing tub which was from Kohler and in good shape so we worked the design around it. It was a challenge to find coordinating plumbing fixtures that allowed for the three drill tub faucet (the holes existed in the tub) with single control faucets on the vanity top; we found them from Hansgrohe.
