This open kitchen was designed with the homeowners needs in mind- cooking styles, storage needs, efficiency of the work area. There is a wall across from this space that serves as the dry goods pantry and a home office area. The island was designed to hold as much storage as possible on all four sides. There is no sink or cooking on this island purposefully so that it can serve as a large prep and eating area without disruptions. The counter top is a Brazilian quartzite known for its beauty and low maintenance The back splash is Artistic Tile from Stafford Tile and Stone. Kitchen renovation featured on HGTV 's House Hunters Renovation "Type A Reno". The original kitchen had an angled wall where the pantry currently is and that made it difficult to maximize storage. We had the pantry section custom made to fit the angle of the wall and it houses double the storage that the original upper section used to. The finishes are classic with modern touches throughout such as the overscaled pendant lights over the island and the full wall of mosaic backsplash. White kitchens will always be a popular choice and you can go wrong if you stick with classics. Shaker cabinet door with a added door detail, so it's not your typical Shaker. The island was custom made with raised panel details and a gray wash stain. We mixed gold and black hardware to add character to the space.

And we are cabinet dealers for 8 nationally distributed cabinet lines much like traditional showrooms. Unlike full showrooms open to the general public, Main Line Kitchen Design works only by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled days, nights, and weekends either in your home or in our office and selection center. During office appointments we display clients kitchens on a flat screen TV and help them look through 100’s of sample doorstyles, almost a thousand sample finish blocks and sample kitchen cabinets. During home visits we can bring samples, take measurements, and make design changes on laptops showing you what your kitchen can look like in the very room being renovated. This is more convenient for our customers and it eliminates the expense of staffing and maintaining a larger space that is open to walk in traffic. We pass the significant savings on to our customers and so we sell cabinetry for less than other dealers, even home centers like Lowes and The Home Depot.

When one thing leads to another...and another...and another... This fun family of 5 humans and one pup enlisted us to do a simple living room/dining room upgrade. Those led to updating the kitchen with some simple upgrades. (Thanks to Superior Tile and Stone) And that led to a total primary suite gut and renovation (Thanks to Verity Kitchens and Baths). When we were done, they sold their now perfect home and upgraded to the Beach Modern one a few galleries back. They might win the award for best Before/After pics in both projects! In this log cabin kitchen, we installed Medallion Gold Park Place Flat Panel Maple, White Chocolate with Mocha Highland cabinets on the perimeter and on the island is Maple, Amaretto accented with Saddle pulls and Cup pulls in oiled rubbed bronze. The countertop on the perimeter is Casella Granite with double round over edge, the island countertop is Cambria 3cm Brittanica Gold and the bar top is Eternia 3cm Lindfield. The backsplash is 1” x 12” polished brick mosaic in Empire Beige. An LED Monorail system with 8’ rail, 3 pendants, 4 direction heads was hung over the island with a coordinating pendant light over the sink. A Blanco apron front sink in Biscotti color with Moen Arbor pull down faucet and Moen sip beverage faucet in oiled rubbed bronze was installed.

“We want to redo our cabinets…but my kitchen is so small!” We hear this a lot here at Reborn Cabinets. You might be surprised how many people put off refreshing their kitchen simply because homeowners can’t see beyond their own square footage. Not all of us can live in a big, sprawling ranch house, but that doesn’t mean that a small kitchen can’t be polished into a real gem! This project is a great example of how dramatic the difference can be when we rethink our space—even just a little! By removing hanging cabinets, this kitchen opened-up very nicely. The light from the preexisting French doors could flow wonderfully into the adjacent family room. The finishing touches were made by transforming a very small “breakfast nook” into a clean and useful storage space.

This modest kitchen renovation in Lilburn, GA including removing a short peninsula and transforming the space to allow for an island. This greatly improved not only the flow of traffic but also the function of work zones. There was an awkward deep corner with a hutch display that yielded to unfunctional counter space and poor storage. This area was redesigned to be the wall ovens & refrigerator thus allowing more counter space where it was needed -- by the cooktop. The shallow island features a Zebrawood Island Top with a mineral oil finish, practical and beautiful for food prep! The backside has a soft elliptical arch to increase the top size and allow for a stool for long prep or quick snacks. The unique monochromatic mosaic backsplash by SOHO Tile creates a beautiful backdrop that compliments with the leathered Fantasy Brown Quartzite counter tops.

You can add a breakfast bar or counter to your existing kitchen units, or stick with a good old-fashioned dining table if you don’t need the extra work surfaces. That said, if you do have the room, take a look at some kitchen island ideas to see if the designs inspire you for your kitchen. There are a huge variety of island designs to cater to different needs – you can have sinks, ovens, hobs, wine storage and all sorts of drawers and organisers built-in, you can have separate bars and counters that extend from your island, or you could go for a kitchen island on wheels to make your kitchen layout more versatile.

How do I choose my kitchen units and cabinets?
