L'espace le plus fun et le plus étonnant. Un papier peint panoramique "feux d'artifice" a donné le ton pour un mélange de noir, orange et chêne.

Kitchen & Bath Design + Construction
The original materials consisted of a console sink, tiled walls and floor, towel bar and cast iron radiator. Gutting the space to the studs, we chose to install a wall hung vanity sink, rather than a pedestal or other similar sink. Much larger than the original, this new sink is mounted directly to the wall. Because the space under the sink is open, the area feels much larger and the sink appears to float while the bar at the front of the fixture acts as the towel bar.
For the floor we chose a rustic tumbled Travertine tile installed both in the powder room and the front foyer which the powder room opens up to. While not a huge project, it certainly was a fun and challenging one to create a space as warm and inviting as the rest of this 1920’s home, with a bit of flair and a nod to the homeowner’s European roots. Cloakroom Bathroom in Storrington, West Sussex
Plenty of stylish elements combine in this compact cloakroom, which utilises a unique tile choice and designer wallpaper option.
The Brief
This client wanted to create a unique theme in their downstairs cloakroom, which previously utilised a classic but unmemorable design.
Naturally the cloakroom was to incorporate all usual amenities, but with a design that was a little out of the ordinary.
Design Elements
Utilising some of our more unique options for a renovation, bathroom designer Martin conjured a design to tick all the requirements of this brief.
The design utilises textured neutral tiles up to half height, with the client’s own William Morris designer wallpaper then used up to the ceiling coving. Black accents are used throughout the room, like for the basin and mixer, and flush plate.
To hold hand towels and heat the small space, a compact full-height radiator has been fitted in the corner of the room.
Project Highlight
A lighter but neutral tile is used for the rear wall, which has been designed to minimise view of the toilet and other necessities.
A simple shelf area gives the client somewhere to store a decorative item or two.
The End Result
The end result is a compact cloakroom that is certainly memorable, as the client required.
With only a small amount of space our bathroom designer Martin has managed to conjure an impressive and functional theme for this Storrington client.

Although this is a very small bathroom it is bursting with personality! Updated chrome fixtures and accessories are from Grohe and Jaclo. The compact suspended white porcelain sink is sourced from Duravit. No one can ignore the joyful wallpaper from Graham & Brown in Chinoiserie Canary. The brick herringbone was existing but it got a deep clean and darker brown stain to revive the floor. The antique mirror and lighting fixture polish off this quaint traditional powder bath.

Cloakroom after:
Voila! The tile and greys are a great design pairing. We tiled half way up on one side to enhance width over height in this tiny bathroom.
The big highlight is the 'gold-ware'. It was proving impossible to find a decent tap of height in this squeeze of a space so we expanded our options to look at chrome-ware and chemically altered it to become 'gold plated' at a charge of £60.
Importantly, the storage door was converted into a removable shelf, now allowing to store toiletries.

A Design Art & House
A small space with lots of style. We combined classic elements like wainscoting with modern fixtures in brushed gold and graphic wallpaper.
