Built in nook seat with bookshelves behind!

Q

Photo

This is actually pretty close to what I had envisioned, except the dining area here would be where the stairs are. Note the sunken living room and it would be great to also have the built in storage banquette to separate that space from where the stairs start. Also like the built ins to either side of the fireplace. In terms of material, not sold on the wood veneer everywhere

Q

Photo

Everything.

Q

Photo

This fits well with the style of our home

Q

Photo

Like the built in storage here

Q

Photo

Like shiplap in general, but this is way too much.

Q

Photo

Interesting idea. Not sure the fireplace is our style. But I like the rustic and modern combo w clean lines here

Q

Photo

Love this nook

Q

Photo

Like the style here

Q

Photo

Love the use of this nook space for a functional cozy reading area

Q

Photo

Really like the built in banquette here. The style of the house isn't the focus here

Q

Photo

Don't like that they don't use the under stair space for storage (pass through treads are probably not for us), but like the switchback landing and also the window lined up with the landing.

Q

Photo

The water feature is unnecessary, but the configuration of the basement dig out and the stairs are pretty similar to what we had envisioned

Q

Photo

Nice tie in between basement entrance and the rest of the design of the house. Suspect this is way out of scope for us though.

Q

Photo

Light well

Q

Photo

Interesting idea to incorporate stairs w fireplace. Don't like the shape of the fireplace and how it tapers at the top

Q

Photo

Nice use of space with seating, stairs, and closet

Q

Photo

High walls for roof deck. Wind blocking

Indoor/outdoor connection

Q

Photo

Pipe dream- but like the connection to the outdoor space here.

Q

Photo

Interesting idea to have the beds built in behind a barn door.

Q

Photo

Another idea for office/guest room.

Q

Photo

Another hideaway office idea

Q

Photo

Another hideaway office example.

Q

Photo

Like the hideaway office in a closet space. We don't need a designated room, but a space would be nice. Something that can house files and a printer. Out of sight is ideal.

Q

Photo

Hmm- interesting idea to incorporate a home gym. Ha

Q

Photo

Ideal window seat storage example

Q

Photo

Good idea to incorporate under stair storage for big items such as a stroller

Q

Photo

Love the window seat. Would be nice to do storage, but with front doors not a top lift.

Q

Photo

Smart Stair storage for potentially the first steps up from the front room to the level of the existing house

Q

Photo

Smart understand storage

Q

Photo

Like the wider treads leading up to a landing for the stairs. Also like the use of space to the right of the first step. Don't like that the design doesn't look integrated.

Q

Photo

This is probably the perfect synthesis of mine and chad's design taste with the modern and rustic. Also really nice rich to have tread lights

Q

Photo

Like the three stairs up to the first landing. Can see this fitting in the house design if we have a front room with taller ceilings then

Q

Photo

Switchback, shiplap, use of space under stair for linen closet

Q

Photo

Not for layout, but really like the style of both the stairs (modern, glass) and the rustic reclaimed wood

Q

Photo

Like the stairwell's glass enclosure, nice mix of rustic and modern.

Q

Photo

Horizontal reclaimed wood, modern fireplace, clean lines, light color palette. Would be good for front room.
