For John

Is there a chance something like this, a very narrow pullout pantry, could fit next to the ovens or next to the refrigerator? Thinking since we are wanting a two burner stove top, there may be some additional space?

These are the dresser cabinets on the buffet in our current breakfast nook. This is the finish that we intend to use for the kitchen cabinets in the Casita. Plus the soapstone and hardware as shown here.

This is a photo of the dresser cabinet on the sink side of our kitchen. There will be another photo with it open.

Here is the dresser cabinet open. We pull out the toaster to use it. If we didn’t have the dresser cabinet, the toaster would be taking up permanent space on the counter, so we feel that having a dresser cabinet really does not cut down on counter space. It just keeps it looking neater.

Q

Here it is with the toaster tucked inside. We really love that feature.

Loving the subway tile. Even if it is white!

We have not ruled out the idea of a black sink, with soapstone countertops, and possibly black subway tile backsplash. I like ledge on the sink backsplash area.

This sort of gives the feel that we are thinking of. Earthy. Somewhat dark. Probably soapstone countertops. I really like the shelves next to the window beside the sink.

Love this. LOVE IT! This is what first inspired the idea of a dark finish to the kitchenette. Love the copper sink. Love the black subway tile. Love the wood finish on the cabinets. Love the shelves on the wall. We would want to add undercabinet lighting and have talked about glass fronts to (some of) the cabinets with lighting inside.

Q

This is the style of “prep table“ that we were hoping we might be able to include. Very small. Approximately 18 x 36. Same finish as the cabinets. Soapstone top. Wheels might be nice!

Q

Like the glass fronted cabinets flanking the window. I’m pretty sure we want all of the cabinets to extend to the ceiling, or just below.

Like the look of the glass fronted cabinets next to the (refrigerator, on one side; dresser cabinet on the other)

This is one of the photos that inspired the thought of having wood beams in the kitchen

Q

Is there a possibility that a narrow pullout pantry like this might fit next to the ovens or the refrigerator? I’m thinking since we have reduced the size of the cooktop down to 15 inches, there may be some additional space?
