Woodwork concept, but carry the lower stairs all of the way across so that, from the front hall, there are cabinets.
Door and window above. Little else.
Use of stone and wood. The rug could be replaced with the wood from main floors. Large window above it would be cool. I am not suggesting the ceiling.
