Fireplace
Like a LOT about the feel here: the warmer wood on the ceiling running over to then highlight the big grey fireplace, the simple/clean look of the fireplace using steel and concrete (is that concrete?). Like the firewood storage off the ground and next to the fireplace (feels part of the design and not on the ground as an afterthought; also frees up the ground for a cleaner look).
Like the simplicity of this concrete fireplace and the firewood storage (but concrete too beige looking; I like more blue grey concrete)
Love the color/tone of concrete, simplicity and clean lines
Like the look/feel/vibe here; simplicity, balance of colors and textures and materials (wood, drywall, grey). Fresh, clean, bright, light. Do not like tile (I don’t like the grout look- prefer seamless).
Very cool steel and board formed concrete together
Like the board formed concrete
Like the mix of materials used here, tone and texture. Nice balanced feel. Simple yet interesting
Simple, clean concrete fireplace. Nice heavy feel to it
If we could do a concrete fireplace with a different tone/texture/polish/color/look than the concrete floor, that could be cool
Like the look/feel/vibe of the whole fireplace wall
Like the overall feel/vibe of this room- clean, fresh, simple
Nice balance of materials- grey concrete, steel/dark fireplace, bright white firewood storage
Like the simplicity and color concrete
Simple board formed concrete and steel
Like the simplicity
Like the look
Simple, clean, peaceful
Like board formed concrete
Cool concrete texture/tone (2 concretes used?). Love the balance of light, medium, and dark tones and textures going on here. Simple, refined, clean looking. Like the inset shelving.
Like the concrete and small amount of steel. Dislike the unevenness/asymmetry. Yet, I like what’s going on here; can the shelves be put into the side of our freestanding wall/fireplace?
Like the THICK concrete bench, and light bright shelving. Board formed concrete too “farmhouse rustic” looking? Maybe not
Like the concept of wood shelving built INTO the concrete itself (although wider shelves would be nice)
Like the large, smooth concrete fireplace. Like the color/tone and simplicity of it, like the thickness of the concrete bench. Like the wood bookshelf accent (but wood too orange, like a lighter wood color)
Don’t like the tile look, but DO like the inset wood shelving (can that be done on the front or side of our “fireplace wall”?)
Like the overall look and feel of the fireplace area: simple, clean, balanced. Nice blend of two greys and wood, and cool firewood storage. Like the THICK wood shelving. Light, easy, simple living. (Dislike busy farmhouse ceiling)
What about a solid concrete mass like this on the bottom, and just a cut out for the firewood in the space below the fireplace itself (like here?). Or, a solid concrete mass across the whole bottom and a cutout for firewood across the entire width of it (under fireplace and tv)?
Like the color/tone of wood used for shelving, as well as firewood storage (up off ground)
Like the overall simplicity/clean/light-feeling vibe. Like the wood shelving inset into wall
Like the contrast of darker grey lined firewood storage in a white wall, simple standalone fireplace, and wood shelving. Even though this isn’t a free standing fireplace wall like we’re doing, I like the feel of the general area over there
Very cool steel effect, I like it
Kind of ominous but I kind of like it?
Cool steel look
Too much steel, too dark and heavy/masculine feeling. But, I like the simplicity and the balance/continuity it provides the stairs, soffit, and window frames
Cool concrete and steel fireplace, but too many angles for me
Do not like the panels look (feels like tile; too much of a “done” look?)
I do not like the “tile” look, but I do like the color of the concrete(?) and use of wood
Tile? Not sure about it- feels like it should stay in bathroom. But simple, clean, bright
Tile? Not sure I like it. Perhaps because it feels too “refined”? I feel like it should be in the wall of a bathroom.
Something about this bothers me...too much wood accenting? It makes me feel like I’m living in a tic tac toe board
Like the color/tone of wood featured, as well as the feel of this room; simple/clean/bright. I wonder what kind of wood that is?
I like the color/tone of the wooden beam against the grey of concrete (but don’t like the shiny border to the fireplace). I wonder what kind of wood that is?
Simple and beautiful
