Hillsborough Vaastu Shastra Modern Residence

This California contemporary 5000SF home in Hillsborough, California designed by Robert Nebolon Architects is located adjacent to an existing creek on a heavily wooded site. The owners asked that the house be planned to Vaastu Shastra planning principles while still addressing the gently sloping slope and the curved creek. The solution consists of three wings that gently step down and rotate to the existing grade. The middle wing has the major rooms and is orientated exactly due north/south as per Vaastu principles. The residence also houses the owner’s collection of Modern Indian Art by some of India’s greatest modern artists.

The house appearance can be best described as California modern, California contemporary, San Francisco Modern, or Bay Area modern/contemporary, Or Vastu Shastra modern/contemporary
